Roy Keane for Ireland manager? Odds slashed on Man Utd legend replacing Stephen Kenny

Is Roy the boy for Ireland?

Roy Keane

We’ve slashed the odds on ex-Ireland international Roy Keane becoming the next Ireland manager post Stephen Kenny’s likely final game tonight.

As the embattled boss heads into what is expected to be his swansong against New Zealand, punters have been getting stuck into the idea of what might be.

The former Manchester United ace Keane steady at a price of 9/1 for the past number of weeks.

However, in the past 24 hours, a sudden influx of activity on the market has seen Keane’s odds tumble.

The market has been live for quite some time – no surprise, really, given the retched form of the Boys In Green of late.

However there’s not been as much action around it in terms of bets as we saw on Monday night.

To put it into perspective, 50% of all bets placed on Roy Keane to be the next manager of the Republic of Ireland football team since the market opened up have been placed since midnight.

It seems like something’s going down, and it’s not just Stephen Kenny!
