Friday 8pm: Rotherham v Leeds
Championship match at New York Stadium, Rotherham
TV: Sky Sports Main Football
Both Teams to Score
Rotherham are massive underdogs to take the three points when they host Leeds on Friday night. They’ve endured a tough couple of months but their results of late with one win, two draws and two losses aren’t all that bad. At the New York they’ve proven hard to beat with one win, three draws and one loss over their last five where Both Teams to Score has landed in four of those five.
Leeds are in great shape, winning four of their last five, losing the other one, scoring a rather healthy 10 goals while on their travels have won two, drawn one and lost two, scoring five. With those stats we have to start off our Bet Builder with a Both Teams to Score pick.
Over 9.5 Corners
Corner stats have been high for both teams over the Champions season so far. Rotherham’s home games have averaged 12.25 corners while for Leeds the number stands at 11.62. Leeds will doubtlessly have the majority of the ball here and with them in good goal-scoring form of late they’ll be eager to get the win.
We should see plenty of attacking football here and Rotherham have been among the goals at home so we’re expecting to see at least 10 corners.

Joel Piroe to Score
Netherland’s forward Joel Piroe has been in good form this season, scoring six Championship goals since signing from Swansea over the summer. Patrick Bamford is the favourite here but he’s failed to score over his eight league appearances this far so we’re backing Leeds’ number seven to do the business here.
Rotherham to Receive the Most Cards
The away side have the cleanest disciplinary record in the league currently. They’ve collected just 24 yellow cards and one red card.
The hosts have taken 30 yellows and two reds and have collected more cards than their opponents in four of their last six home Championship games so that’s a trend we should be exploiting.
Rotherham +2
Leeds are enjoying a good run of form, we can’t really argue with that. However, their away form where they’ve won just two of their last five, coupled with Rotherham’s propensity to hold their challengers to draws means we have to look at them in the Handicap market.
Leeds have only won one of their last four victories by more than two goals and on their travels, of their four away wins, only one of them was by a margin greater than two.
The hosts are making the New York a hard place to come away from with three points and, while Leeds should win, we just cannot see them winning by three clear goals.
