FC Koln v Bayern Munich

RheinEnergieStadion, Cologne, 7:30pm
TV: TNT Sports

Bayern Munich -1

The first game after an international break can be a wee bit tough on players. The vast amount of Bayern’s squad have been away with their national sides while a few of Koln’s have been away too, particularly their Austrian midfielders who rarely miss a game for Steffen Baumgart’s side.

Saying that, Bayern have won here in all six of their most recent competitive visits and have won three of those six by at least two goals. The Bavarians have won three of their last five away league games by at least two goals as well and with Harry Kane in particularly mighty form we’d have to fancy the away side to win by two yet again in Cologne.

Harry Kane First Goalscorer

Harry Kane scored one over his two appearances for England over the international break but his Bundesliga record is simply outstanding. The former Spurs man has 17 goals over 11 league appearances and has opened the scoring in three of his last four appearances for FC Hollywood.

We could play it safe and back him to score but there’s better value in him to open the scoring here.

Both Teams to Score

Koln have picked up just six points over their 11 games so far but have scored five over their last five league fixtures and six over their last five at home as well. With Bayern conceding in five of their last six away games in all competitions we should see the hosts hitting the back of the net and Both Teams to Score landing.

PSG v Monaco

Parc des Princes, Paris, 8pm
TV: TNT Sports

Kylian Mbappe to Score

Here’s a stat for you. Kylian Mbappe has scored in every minute of a football game except for three; 33, 53 and 72. Here’s another, he’s scored 19 goals in the 90th minute or later as well.

He’s also just off the back of scoring a hattrick against Gibraltar over the international break and has 13 over 11 Ligue Un appearances this campaign. He has no problems scoring against his former club Monaco too, scoring 10 over 12 appearances against them. We’d be barmy not to back him to rattle the back of the net here.

Both Teams to Score

This one is going a wee bit against the stats. PSG have kept five clean sheets in-a-row at home of late but the away side have scored eight over their last five on their travels and seven over their last five as well.

Russia’s Aleksandr Golovin has been in great form for Monaco, scoring five in 11 and with the Parisians conceding five over their last four home/away games it certainly wouldn’t be surprising to see the visitors scoring here.
