Gerson Rodrigues to Score

Luxembourg really made a decent fist of it but have failed to automatically qualify for next year’s Euros in Germany. However, should they bag the three points here, and they most certainly will, they should make the playoffs.

They won four of their nine games, drawing two and losing three while poor old Liechtenstein have lost all nine of their matches, scoring just one goal while conceding 27.

Sivasspor’s Gerson Rodrigues played a blinder against Bosnia on Thursday night, scoring two goals and has four over his six qualification games as well as four in six over their Nations League games. Rodrigues should be getting on the scoresheet for the away side here.

Portugal v Iceland

Estádio José Alvalade, Lisbon, 7:45pm
TV: Viaplay

Cristiano Ronaldo to Score First

He just keeps going and going does Ronaldo. The Al Nassr man has 13 goals in 12 league games in Saudi Arabia and has scored a very healthy 10 goals over his eight qualification games for Portugal. He’s also opened the scoring in both of his most recent games for Roberto Martinez’ side and that’s a trend we should exploit. It’s Ronaldo To Score First here.

Iceland to Receive the Most Cards

Iceland won’t be making the playoffs, they’ve been pretty bad with just three wins over their nine games. In four of their last five away games, the Icelanders have collected more cards than their opponents and being the away side against a rampant Portugal we can certainly see Iceland, again, picking up the lion’s share of bookings.

Scotland v Norway

Hampden Park, Glasgow, 7:45pm
TV: Viaplay

Both Teams to Score

The big news for this game is that Manchester City’s Erling Haaland won’t feature but over their last five games they’ve had 10 other goalscorers other than Haaland so while he’ll be missed, they’ve obviously got plenty of goalscoring talent.

Scotland have kept just one clean sheet over their last five so should be conceding. They’ve also scored a seven over their last five and 10 over their last five on Scottish soil so Both Teams to Score has plenty of value here.

Scott McTominay to have 1 or more Shots on Target

With seven goals over his last seven games in a Scottish shirt of late there’s little doubt that Manchester United’s Scott McTominay is going to be eager to keep that fine form going. Let’s play it a bit safe though and back McTominay to land at least one shot on target.

Spain v Georgia

Estadio Municipal José Zorrilla, Valladolid, 7:45pm
TV: Viaplay

Both Teams to Score? No

Spain have conceded just four goals over their seven Group A games and have kept five clean sheets over their last eight fixtures on Spanish turf. The Georgians have scored a decent amount of late but failed to score in two of their last four on their travels. We can’t see them breaking through this solid Spanish defence so it’s Both Teams To Score? No.
