    Chelsea v Man City

    Sunday, 4:30pm
    TV: Sky Sports Main Event

Chelsea were involved in a great game on Monday night at Spurs, but I wouldn’t get too carried away with the 4-1 result.

There must be something in the water whenever Spurs and Chelsea play each other – everyone remembers that match at Stamford Bridge that had the most yellow cards ever, and it’s a London derby, of course, so they’ve always been ‘hot’ games, even when I think back to being a kid.

But Romero took it to a new level. He looked like he was dying to get sent off!

Chelsea won it convincingly on the scoreboard if not in the performance, but the way the game panned out suited them with Tottenham eventually down to nine men after Udogie got sent off too.

Still, it gives Mauricio Pochettino something to build on. Nicolas Jackson got a hat-trick too I’m not sure Jackson the answer up-front, but something like that could be massive for him.

They should take some confidence from it even if it wasn’t convincing – the way Spurs played it in the second half, if they’d been against Man City I think it would’ve ended up 9 or 10 – 1.

And there are good parts to Chelsea’s game. Levi Colwell’s doing well, Raheem Sterling looks back to his old self, Cole Palmer looks a player.

There are plus points to their season so far, but they’re struggling to break teams down.

That shows that they’re still miles off the very top sides at the moment.

And that’s not the ideal shape to be in when you take on City.

They look like they’re kicking right back into gear.

It was Jeremy Doku again last weekend – he’s electric!

He’s got that ability to stop and start so fast, defenders can’t handle it. He’s too quick.

City’s team is full of wonderful players who can pick passes and play around opponents, but sometimes it’s nice to see someone like Doku who can get on the ball and just go past defenders.

He’s given them something different this season. It’s great to have in the armoury.

    Man City to Win

And then you have Phil Foden and Erling Haaland as well playing like they did in midweek – it’s going to be very tough for Chelsea..

I can only see a Man City win.

    Erling Haaland to Score

And I know it’s the obvious one but Haaland is probably going to score, isn’t he?

He got two against Young Boys and has seven in his last five games.

    Bernardo Silva to Assist

There’s so many players who can make something happen in the City side.

Bernardo Silva’s one of my favourite players to watch and we’ll take him to create one goal at least on Sunday.

    Rodri to Commit 2+ Fouls

Conor Gallagher to be shown a card

I don’t think we can expect the same carnage as we saw in Chelsea v Spurs – most of that was caused by Tottenham, to be fair!

Still, you would expect Chelsea to try to get at City a bit and there should be a few fouls and cards in the midfield battle.

Rodri’s usually in amongst it for City so should commit 2 or more fouls, while I could see Conor Gallgher going in the ref’s notebook too.
