There’s loads of games on Sunday but it’s West Ham v Nottingham Forest on the box at 2pm, and you can see Lawro’s 26/1 Bet Builder for that game right here, before Chelsea take on Manchester City at 4.30pm.
So, with the weekend hurling towards us once again, there’s no time to waste and it’s only right that we bring in our resident tipster and Premier League predicting guru, Mark Lawrenson who will be battling it out with a Paddy punter in our Challenge Lawro game. But first, here’s what Lawro’s crystal ball has revealed this weekend.
Saturday 12.30pm: Wolves v Tottenham
TV: TNT Sports 1 and TNT Sports Ultimate
Tottenham fell of their perch on Monday night but Ange Postecoglou’s got even more fans now, if that were possible! They had two sent off and two big payers went off injured. Wolves are bound to be involved in another VAR controversy. I’ll go for a Draw here. Tottenham will still be difficult to beat but Wolves are still struggling to score. Wolves 1-1 Tottenham.
Saturday 3pm: Arsenal v Burnley
This will be a big, comfortable Arsenal win. Burnley lost at home to Crystal Palace last weekend and the whole Arsenal thing at Newcastle just turned into a farce. It’s just mad, it’s not one VAR error every week it’s like three or four and it’s another layer of complication. Mikel Arteta made himself look a bit silly but I expect Arsenal to Win. Arsenal 4-0 Burnley.
Saturday 3pm: Crystal Palace v Everton
Everton are doing alright, they got a late draw at Brighton last time and Palace had a smash-and-grab win at Burnley. I just fancy Palace here. Everton are doing better but I’m still not convinced with them to be honest. Crystal Palace 2-1 Everton.
Saturday 3pm: Manchester United v Luton
Luton put up a great effort against Liverpool last weekend and they definitely deserved the point. Liverpool could have put it out of sight in the first half but Luton deserved it. Manchester United were better at Fulham and just about deserved to win. I’ll go for Manchester United to win this. I can’t remember the last time they won a home league game, but if Luton go there and win it might be the worst league result United have ever had! Manchester United 2-0 Luton.
Saturday 5.30pm: Bournemouth v Newcastle
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
Newcastle lost in the Champions League in the week and had that controversial win last time against Arsenal. I think they’ll get it done here though. Bournemouth 1-2 Newcastle.
Sunday 2pm: Aston Villa v Fulham
Aston Villa played such a high line at Nottingham Forest last week and I couldn’t work out why. I thought they might have stetched the game out rather than making it more compact because they hardly made any chances. We know they’re outstanding at home but Fulham were a little bit unlucky against Manchester United. I fancy Villa here. Aston Villa 2-1 Fulham.
Sunday 2pm: Brighton v Sheffield United
Sheffield United finally won last week but they’ve still got a lot to do. Even though Roberto De Zerbi’s saying the Brighton squad’s not big enough, they’ve got enough quality to beat The Blades with whatever team they put out. Brighton 2-0 Sheffield United.
Sunday 2pm: Liverpool v Brentford
Brentford are a very dangerous side and they had a good win coming from behind to beat West Ham 3-2 where even Neal Maupay scored! I’ll go for Liverpool to win but I have a feeling that Brentford will score because they cause you problems on the break Liverpool 2-1 Brentford.
Sunday 2pm: West Ham v Nottingham Forest
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
West Ham haven’t won for four games but I think they’ll get a victory here. David Moyes normally gets a result when he needs one. West Ham 2-1 Nottingham Forest.
Sunday 4.30pm: Chelsea v Manchester City
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
It was a really good result for Chelsea at Tottenham on Monday and Manchester City just breezed past Bournemouth 6-1. You have to fancy City to win, they won again in the week and you just feel like they’re on it now. Chelsea 0-2 Manchester City.
