Lens v Marseille

Stade Bollaert-Delelis, Lens, 7:45pm
TV: TNT Sports

Over 2.5 Goals

Lens have been drawing far too many games of late, with one win, three draws and one loss over their last five fixtures, but their home form of three wins and two draws should stand to them here. They also scored 10 goals over their last five home games and conceded four.

Marseille have won three, drawn one and lost one of their last five. While on their travels have won one, drawn one and lost three but they have scored seven over those five and conceded 11. With both teams busy at both ends of the pitch of late, Over 2.5 Goals has some decent value.

Inter v Frosinone

San Siro, Milan, 7:45pm
TV: TNT Sports

Lautaro Martinez to Score

Inter are enjoying a run of eight games undefeated, where they’ve won seven, and it looks like we’re in for a two-horse race for this year’s Scudetto between Inter and Juve. Inter’s Argentine forward Lautaro Martinez has been outstanding this season in the Serie A, scoring 12 goals over 11 appearances with an additional two in four in the Champions League.

With five over his last six on home soil as well, we simply have to back him to score.

Over 2.5 Frosinone Cards

Frosinone are mid-table when it comes to the Fair Play standings with 24 yellow cards and one red card. They tend to pick up around two cards per away game but it’s the dark arts of Inter that are making us choose this pick.

The hosts aren’t exactly the fastest in the league. Granted Martinez and Marcus Thuram are quick but their midfield is a bit creaky and thanks to that they rely on keeping possession for long periods before finding threaded passes to the front two.

Because they hold possession for so long they draw a high amount of fouls. They have an ageing midfield but one that’s very technically gifted, possibly one of the best in European football at the moment.

Only one of their last four home games have seen an away side coming away with less than three cards and we can’t see Frosinone emerging with less than that tonight.

Atletico Madrid v Villarreal

Wanda Metropolitano, 8pm
TV: VIaplay

Antoine Griezmann to Score

Antoine Griezmann has four goals in four Champions League appearances this season and seven in 11 in La Liga. He also has four over his last five on home soil and in such red-hot form we just have to back him to hit the onion bag here.

Both Teams to Score

Atletico don’t often keep many clean sheets anymore. Granted they did against Celtic midweek but Celtic had their chances until the red card and then they wilted.

Indeed, the hosts have kept just one clean sheet over their seven home games this term and face a Villarreal side who have scored 13 goals over their last five games in all competitions and six over their last five away La Liga games. We should see both teams scoring here.

Benfica v Sporting

Estadio do Sport Lisboa, 8:30pm

Both Teams to Score

Sporting are three points ahead of Benfica at the top of the Primeira Liga so the hosts really cannot allow the visitors back across the city with the full three points.

Sporting are in the better form however, they’ve won eight of their last 10 fixtures, drawing one and losing one while Benfica have only won six of their last 10, drawing one and losing three. On home soil, they’ve won two, drawn one and lost two of late.

Both Teams to Score has landed in five of their last six meetings at both grounds and in nine of their last 10 meetings at the Estadio do Sport Lisboa. We’re backing that trend to continue.
