Tottenham’s 4-1 loss to Chelsea on Monday was quite astonishing, wasn’t it? We can look at it and say what an enthralling football match, but it was for all the wrong reasons! It was just so out of context with a proper football match.
We had five goals disallowed, two sending offs, it was absolutely mental! How do you judge Spurs? Yes they got beat 4-1, but I have never seen anything like it when they were holding such a high line throughout that second half. I was wondering if it was planned or if they just thought to take a risk.
It was only a matter of time before Chelsea scored but Spurs have won eight of their 11 games so they’re not in bad form. They’ve scored in each of their last 23 Premier League games so we do expect them to net.
Little Wolves, who have had difficult times lately, lost last week at Sheffield United which was their first defeat in six which is not bad. They found it hard to score for so long but they’ve scored in each of their last 12 games in all competitions.
I think we’ve got to have Both Teams To Score and I’d probably come out on the side of Spurs to Win so that’ll be Over 2.5 Goals as well. I don’t think there’s going to be much in it as both teams won their home games in this fixture by a solitary goal.
I’ve also got Son Heung-min to Score Anytime and Dejan Kulusevski To Have 1 Or More Shots On Target. He’ll be cutting in from the right and he’s a good player.
I fancied Arsenal to win and to keep a clean sheet in midweek which they duly did and you’ve got to feel the same in this game. You’ve got to be with Arsenal and I’m looking for them to win this by at least 3-0.
They’ve only conceded nine in the league this season and only Manchester City have conceded fewer on eight so they’re not giving much away. Burnley are all over the place and have lost nine of the 11 and are the lowest scorers in the league.
They’ve also lost their last three away games so I don’t expect them to score and I expect Arsenal to cruise this 3-0 so that’ll be Arsenal (-2) and Over 2.5 Goals.
I’ve also got Bukayo Saka to Score Anytime. He got a bit of a knock on his ankle during the week but I think he’ll be alright. I fancy Gabriel Martinelli to Score Anytime as well because Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus are both injured I’m fancying Martinelli to get on the scoresheet.
Charlie Taylor, the left back for Burnley, he’ll be up against it playing against Saka. I’m going for Taylor To Be Shown A Card.
5.30pm: Bournemouth v Newcastle
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
I did tip Borussia Dortmund to beat Newcastle in the week and I fancied them to bounce back from being battered by Bayern Munich. Newcastle have lots of injuries so please check the team sheets.
Newcastle have won just one of five away in the Premier League, which was a surprise to me, and that was the massacre away at Sheffield United. All-in-all they’re unbeaten in seven in the Premier League, winning five of those.
They are in a bit of form but Bournemouth have lost five or the last six and they’ve conceded 27 goals. Only Sheffield United have more on 30. I fancy Both Teams To Score and I’m going for Newcastle to Win this one so we’ll need Over 2.5 Goals as well.
I’ve got Anthony Gordon To Score Anytime and Sean Longstaff To Have 1 Or More Shots On Target, he seems to be getting himself forward a lot.
