Borussia M’Gladbach v Wolfsburg

Stadion im Borussia-Park, 7:30pm
TV: Sky Sports Mix

Borussia M’Gladbach to Win

After a rather lacklustre start to their campaign Borussia Monchengladbach have hit some form of late, winning three of their last six, drawing two and losing one. On home soil, results haven’t been good but they’ve improved, losing their first three home Bundesliga games but have since drawn and won one.

Wolfsburg have won just one of their last five, drawing one and losing three, on the road it’s worse with just one win and four losses this season. The hosts are hitting form and on an upswing so we’re backing them to take the three points.

Genoa v Verona

Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferrais, 7:45
TV: TNT Sports

Genoa to Win

Neither side are in good form here, indeed there’s been just one win over their last 10 combined home/away Serie A fixtures. The hosts have some decent home form though, they’ve recently drawn with Napoli and beaten Roma and Salernitana, losing to Fiorentina and AC Milan.

Verona have won just one of their six away league games this season, losing four and drawing one. They’ve also scored just two goals over their last five on their travels while Genoa have scored eight over their last five at home. They should be outsourcing Verona here.

Blackburn v Preston

Ewood Park, 8pm
TV: Sky Sports Main Event

Over 2.5 Goals

Blackburn’s results of late are going their way after what was an exciting September and October run of fixtures where they were on the wrong side of four defeats. Over their last five they’ve won four and lost one, scoring a healthy 10 times. At home three of their last five have seen Over 2.5 goals landing.

Preston’s form is waning after a good start, they’ve now won just one of their last five in the league, drawing two and losing two, scoring eight while conceding 10. Away from home, they’ve won one, drawn one and lost three, scoring five while conceding nine. We should see at least three goals here.

Sammie Szmodics to Score

Sammie Szmodics missed the last round of Republic of Ireland fixtures thanks to a late injury but will surely be named in what will be Stephen Kenny’s final squad soon. Szmodics has been in incredibly good form this season, scoring nine and creating two.

With three goals over his last five in the Championship and three over his last five at home he’s likely to be among the goalscorers here.

Montpellier v Nice

Stade de la Mosson-Mondial, 8pm
TV: TNT Sports

Nice to Win

Top-of-the-pile Nice have now won seven of their last eight in Ligue Un, drawing the other one and have won all four of their most recent fixtures without conceding. Away from home they’ve collected 13 points from a possible 15, scoring seven and conceding just three.

Montpellier are no pushovers with two wins, one draw and two losses over their last five but at home have been dropping points, winning just one of their four home games this term, drawing two and losing one. With Nice on such a, sorry, nice run, we have to give them the nod.
