We’re well into the 2023/24 Premier League season now and we’re gearing up for another busy weekend in the English top flight. First up it the Premier League’s crisis club Manchester United heading to Fulham in the 12.30pm game on Saturday.

Today we’ve got Nottingham Forest v Villa and Luton v Liverpool on the TV before Mauricio Pochettino returns to Tottenham as Chelsea boss on Monday Night Football.

So, with the weekend hurling towards us once again, there’s no time to waste and it’s only right that we bring in our resident tipster and Premier League predicting guru, Mark Lawrenson who will be battling it out with a Paddy punter in our Challenge Lawro game. But first, here’s what Lawro’s crystal ball has revealed this weekend.

Saturday 12.30pm: Fulham v Manchester United

TV: TNT Sports 1 and TNT Sports Ultimate

Manchester United are just in a mess, completely and utterly in a mess, and they just keep being outplayed. It’s difficult when you look at the players Erik ten Hag’s signed, I’m not sure any of them have stood out in a positive way. They play like a load of strangers but I think they might nick a draw here. Fulham 1-1 Manchester United.

Score: Fulham 0-1 Manchester United

Saturday 3pm: Brentford v West Ham

Brentford were great last weekend at Chelsea, they were a little bit fortunate in the first half but you just knew it was a classic Brentford performance. West Ham had a great result in the week but I’m going for a home win. Brentford 2-1 West Ham.

Score: Brentford 3-2 West Ham.

Saturday 3pm: Burnley v Crystal Palace

Vincent Kompany was pretty chaffed-off with the refs last week and it’s Crystal Palace next who have still got injuries, certainly up front. Roy Hodgson is so good defensively so I think Palace will get something. Burnley 1-1 Crystal Palace.

Score: Burnley 0-2 Crystal Palace

Saturday 3pm: Everton v Brighton

Brighton drew with Fulham and they’ve not won for a few weeks but I fancy them here. They’ll keep the ball and they’ll just have to deal with the air raids. Dominic Calver-Lewin’s started scoring so I think Everton will get one. Everton 1-2 Brighton.

Score: Everton 1-1 Brighton

Saturday 3pm: Manchester City v Bournemouth

Manchester City took the p**s out of Manchester United last weekend and their performance was great to watch. They’ve just got so many good players. All I can say is good luck Bournemouth, you’ll need it. Manchester City 4-0 Bournemouth.

Score: Manchester City 6-1 Bournemouth

Saturday 3pm: Sheffield United v Wolves

This will be a tough game for both, I think. Wolves are solid defensively and Sheffield United are not bad at home, they just can’t get a win. I’ll go with Wolves to win this, United will have a go but Wolves are really good on the counter attack and they’ve got some pace through the midfield as well. Sheffield United 1-2 Wolves.

Score: Sheffield United 2-1 Wolves

Saturday 5.30pm: Newcastle v Arsenal

TV: Sky Sport Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Newcastle had a great result in the Carabao against Manchester United on Thursday but they’ve got a few injury problems. I think Arsenal might go there and pick Newcastle’s pocket. Newcastle 0-2 Arsenal.

Score: Newcastle 1-0 Arsenal

Sunday 2pm: Nottingham Forest v Aston Villa

TV: Sky Sport Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

I saw Nottingham Forest play Liverpool last week and they were alright for a while. They’ve got loads of injuries and once the first goal went in the result felt inevitable. Villa’s away record is nothing like their home record but they’re just in a real rich reign of form. Nottingham Forest 1-2 Aston Villa.

Score: Nottingham Forest 2-0 Aston Villa

Sunday 4.30pm: Luton v Liverpool

TV: Sky Sport Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Luton fight and they do make their home advantage count because it’s a difficult place to go. I’d love to see the face on the Liverpool players as they enter the ground! They’re very aerial at home, Luton, and they make it very difficult for you. Luton 0-2 Liverpool.

Monday 8pm: Tottenham v Chelsea

TV: Sky Sport Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Mauricio Pochettino going back to Tottenham will be fun! Spurs are still going well and they beat Crystal Palace last time. It’s a tough one this I just can’t see Chelsea scoring. Tottenham 2-0 Chelsea.
