Ipswich to Win

Tuesday 8pm: Rotherham v Ipswich
Championship match at the New York Stadium, Rotherham
TV: Sky Sports Football & Main Event

Both Teams to Score

Rotherham are obviously having a tough time of it this season with just 10 points collected from a possible 42. Ipswich, on the other hand, have taken 35 from 42 and sit just four points behind Championship leaders Leicester.

This should have an ‘away win’ written all over it then? Yes, but it shouldn’t be plain sailing. The hosts aren’t in the best form but they’ve scored five over their last five in the league and on home turf have actually only lost one of their last five, winning two and drawing two, scoring seven and conceding five.

The away side have scored a rather healthy 11 over their last five in all competitions and six over their last five on their league travels so there’s plenty of value in the Both Teams to Score market here.

Nathan Broadhead to Score

With six goals in 12 in the Championship, Wales’ Nathan Broadhead has scored the highest number of goals for Ipswich this season. With two over his last five in the Championship he’s likely to be among Ipswich’s goal scorers here.

Over 2.5 Rotherham Corners

We know it’s not going to be one-way traffic here and the hosts have some decent home form to rely on. They’re going to get forward and create a few chances and should get at least one goal. They’ve been averaging 4.14 corners per home Championship game this season, we reckon they’ll be good for at least three here.

Oliver Rathbone to be Shown a Card

Oliver Rathbone is top of the offenders when it comes to bookings for Rotherham with four yellow cards to his name. He’s deployed on the left of the host’s midfield and it’s his job to try and cut out any attacks that come down his side of the field.

He averages above a foul per game too and against an Ipswich side who love to pour forward in search of a goal we can certainly see his name being taken over the 90 minutes.

Ipswich to Win

While the hosts have some decent home form to their name, they’ve still only won one of their last nine games. The away side have won seven of their last 10 in all competitions and five of their last seven away league games.

We must mention too that Ipswich have scored 13 goals over their last five in the league and will surely have enough to bag all three points to keep the pressure on Leicester above them.
