1st Half Under 0.5 Goals
Seeing West Brom with some pretty high odds here to take the win is quite tempting but we have to remember that their talisman for the season, Jon Swift was injured in mid-October and is sidelined until December or thereabout. Of their other goalscorers, only one has scored three goals or more so they might struggle to get a winner.
A stat that struck us pretty quickly here is the fact that Coventry have scored almost 65% of their goals in the second half while West Brom have scored 55% of theirs in the second period of play.
Of their last five home games, the Sky Blues have only scored two first half goals and while the Baggies have scored a FH goal in three of their last five on the road, the aforementioned Swift scored in two of them.
We reckon the first half is going to end 0-0.
Both Teams to Score
A little reminder of those second half percentages of 65% and 55% for this. The hosts should be scoring here, it’s a cliche that they’re better than their league position but they have the talent they just don’t have the results or confidence. They should be scoring though, having scored six over their last five at home in the Championship.
West Brom have scored eight over their last five on their travels and yes, Swift will be a miss until his return but they have goalscorers all over the field who should be getting on target against a side who’ve conceded five over their last four league games played at home.

Jayson Molumby to Commit 1 or more Fouls
Ireland fans are all too familiar with Jayson Molumby’s love for tackling. The red mist often descends with the Irishman however and he’s the joint-most booked West Brom player this season.
The midfielder commits just shy of a foul per game and has no problem bringing a man to ground when going into 50/50s against opposition players. He might well be booked but we’ll take the safer option here.
Matt Godden to have 1 or more Shots on Target
Matt Godden is top scorer for the Sky Blues with five Championship goals in 13 games. Usually placed on the right of a front three, he’s tasked with cutting in and either taking a pop or trying to set up the frontman.
He averages just over 2.5 shots per game and we reckon he should be landing at least one on target against Carlos Corberan’s team.
Draw
If West Brom had Swift we’d probably be backing them to do the business, although their odds to do so would be a fair bit lower than they currently are. What’s really putting us off backing them is the fact that Coventry are quite dogged at home.
They’ve drawn four of their last five on home soil and have scored three late goals over their last four to either rescue a point or take all three. We don’t see the Baggies being beaten however as they’ve only lost one of their last five on their league travels. We’re backing honours being shared on Monday night.
