2pm: Aston Villa v Luton

Ollie Watkins To Score Anytime

It’s hard to back against Ollie Watkins finding the back of the net at present. The Villa striker has scored six goals in his last five starts in all competitions and has scored an impressive five goals in nine league appearances so far this season. He will hope to add to that tally against a Luton side that is yet to keep a clean sheet in the Premier League.

Rob Edwards’ side have conceded an average of two goals a game in the league this season and have conceded 11 goals in five away league games. It would be a huge surprise if Villa failed to score on Sunday afternoon and it would be almost equally surprising if Watkins wasn’t among the goalscorers.

Aston Villa To Have 6 Or More Shots On Target

Luton have punched above their weight in the Premier League so far and are currently outside the bottom three, a huge achievement even at this early stage of the season. Given the gulf in finances between Luton and the rest of the league, it is no surprise to learn that they face a considerable number of shots per game. Luton will have to scrap for every point they get and that means riding their luck at times.

They have faced an average of 15.8 shots per game – the sixth-highest in the league – and now face a Villa side that averages six shots on target per game – the fifth-highest record in the league so far. Villa will pepper the Luton goal with shots on Sunday afternoon and there is every chance that they hit the target at least half a dozen times.

    2pm: Brighton v Fulham

Lewis Dunk to attempt 90 or more passes

Brighton will almost certainly dominate the ball against Fulham on Sunday. Roberto De Zerbi’s side enjoy an average of 58.7% of the ball in the league – the fifth-highest in the division – and will likely pass the 60% mark when Fulham come to town.

Lewis Dunk averages 90.78 completed passes per game with a pass completion rate of just over 90.33%. It would merely be a regulation day at the office for Lewis Dunk to attempt 90 or more passes on Sunday with Brighton in control of the lion’s share of possession.

    2pm: Liverpool v Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest To Receive The Most Cards

Nottingham Forest boast one of the worst disciplinary records at this early stage of the league, collecting a whopping 26 yellow cards and two red cards in just nine games. Liverpool, on the other hand, boast one of the best records in the league, despite receiving four red cards in nine games.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have only received 16 yellow cards in their opening nine games and have received eight fewer cards than Forest at this stage of the season. Furthermore, they are likely to dominate possession and territory on Sunday and one would have to assume that Forest are more likely to pick up the most cards here.
