Sunday 2.15pm: Hearts v Celtics
Premiership match at Tynecastle
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football

Celtic (-1)

Scotland’s champions elect Celtic head east to take on Hearts on Sunday afternoon and they’ll be looking to make it eight wins from nine games so far in the Premiership this season. Hearts have been in shaky form but still find themselves 4th with 11 points from their eight games, exactly half the haul their visitors posses.

These two faced each other five times last term with the Bhoys winning all five, four of those by two goals or more. Celtic should win this at a canter and we can add a little juice to our Bet Builder early doors with Celtic (-1) in the handicaps.

Over 2.5 Goals

While the result may feel like a forgone conclusion, we should see a few goals on Sunday. Celtic have seen Over 2.5 Goals in their last four consecutive matches in all competitions as well as five of their last six.

Hearts are a little more reserved but you’d be hard pressed to think they’re going to be able to dictate much of this game the way they want to. For them it’s clicked in two of their last three matches but not much otherwise. We’ll back Celtic to have this their way and for there to be Over 2.5 Goals in the game.

Matt O’Riley To Score Or Assist

While Kyogo Furuhashi rightly gets a lot of attention for his performances at Celtic Park, it’s Matt O’Riley who leads him in the goal-scoring charts this term. O’Reily’s scored five and set up two to give him a combined direct-goal contribution of seven to Kyogo’s six.

Before the 3-1 win against Kilmarnock last time out, the Denmark international had either scored or assisted in six of the seven games with only Feyenoord able to keep him quiet. There’s a good chance O’Reily Scores or Assists here so it’d be rude not to capitalise, really.

Reo Hatate To Commit 1 Or More Fouls

Reo Hatate has slowly worked his way into the starting line up this season and he’s done it, in part, with a bit of good old fashioned putting it about. The Japan international bagged a goal and an assist last time in a rare 90-minute outing so I’d fancy him to get the full game here.

Crucially, for us, he’s been racking up the fouls and is ticking along at 2.1 per 90 minutes played. As I’ve mentioned, 90-minute outings for Hatate have been at a premium so we’ll play it safe, at a decent Bet Builder price, for Hatate To Commit 1 Or More Fouls.

Daizen Maeda To Have 2 or More Shots On Target

Daizen Maeda won’t be pleased with his goal haul this season, but Brendan Rodgers has kept the faith with the Japanese forward. His running total shows just one goal and two assists in 11 appearances.

While the final product has been lacking, there’s no doubt he’s been trying hard. A regular player of the full 90, Maeda’s averaging 1.7 shots on target per 90 minutes played. With Celtic likely to dominate here, I think it’s well worth a punt that Maeda Has 2 or More Shots On Target.
