Norway v Spain
Norway to win
All Scottish eyes will be on this Group A clash as anything but a Norway win will secure qualification for the Tartan Army to the Euro’s in Germany next year.
Norway will fail to qualify through this group if they don’t beat Spain, and not even a win will guarantee them a route through to next summers championship.
Spain haven’t looked anything special in this qualification campaign though and I’m backing Norway to extend their campaign and put some pressure on the Scots heading into the last round of games in November.
I had considered Norway and Draw double chance at a much shorter price, but in a must win game for the Norwegians, if the game is a draw in the last 10 minutes they’ll have to go for it and can score or concede on the break, so I’m ruling out the draw in this one.
Spain were fortunate to beat Scotland on Thursday night, they huffed and puffed and were extremely fortunate not to be behind when Scott McTominay’s sublime free kick was ruled out for offside (we think).
Norway have that bit of class in Martin Odegaard and Erling Haaland, they come into this game on a 4 match winning run and I fancy them to get the win they need.
Poland v Moldova
Under 2.5 goals
Group E is finely poised towards the latter stages of qualification where four of the five teams can still end up qualifying in the top two spots.
Moldova travel to Poland for this one where the hosts sit only a point ahead of the visitors having played a game more. Moldova beat Poland 3-2 in the return fixture back in June, which was the only match which produced more than two goals in their qualification so far.
Poland haven’t been firing either, with their three wins in the group being two 2-0 wins over the Faroe Islands and a 1-0 win over table toppers Albania.
Both teams are solid at the back and this is a must not lose game for both, rather than must win. This can be a cagey low scoring affair and I really like the under 2.5 goals at odds against.

Wales v Croatia
Croatia to win
A must win game for Wales as they host a Croatia side who were defeated 1-0 against Turkey on Thursday night.
Wales opened this qualification campaign with a 93rd minute equaliser in their 1-1 draw with Croatia back in March, but their team lacks that togetherness and star quality that they had possessed with Gareth Bale over the past decade.
Aaron Ramsey their other star player over the last number of years has enjoyed a good start to life back at Cardiff City, but he is injured for this one and his loss is huge.
Elsewhere around the field Wales possess mainly Championship standard players and Croatia should get a crucial win here.
Under 3.5 goals
I’m going to boost up the price on Croatia to win by going with under 3.5 goals as well.
Like my reasoning for Poland v Moldova above, I think if/when Croatia take the lead, they will tighten up severely at the back and try and see the game out. We’ve reached the stage of qualification where this is almost like second-leg knockout football. We’ve the 2-1 scoreline covered as well with the under 3.5 goals.
Turkey v Latvia
Turkey -1
Latvia sprung a surprise on Thursday night when they put a massive dent in Armenia’s chances of qualifying for Euro 2024 by beating them 2-0 at home. That was their first points of the qualification campaign having lost their opening five matches.
They’ve been competitive enough in the games they lost, but travelling to Turkey is a huge step up for them. Turkey will be coming into this knowing a win will secure their place at next summers championship.
They’ll want to round off the campaign with a good performance and result, and should easily cover the -1 handicap here.
