Jonas Wind to Score

Denmark are just a point above Kazakhstan as it stands in Group H. The hosts are very a very short price to take the three points here, this is largely thanks to their impressive home record of just one defeat over their last 10, where they won eight and drew the other.

We have to talk about Wolfsburg’s Jonas Wind here, he’s been in red-hot form for the Wolves this season, scoring seven in seven starts and has two in his last six for the national side. In such great form, we have to back him to get on the scoresheet.

Denmark -1.5 Goals

In the reverse fixture, Denmark lost their heads having been 0-2 up at halftime and ending up losing 3-2. They’ll be eager to extract some revenge here for that showing and in keeping five clean sheets over their last six at home we can’t see the opposition scoring so they should be winning by a scoreline of 2-0, or 3-0.

Hungary v Serbia

Puskas Arena, Budapest, 7:45pm
TV: Viaplay

Over 2.5 Goals

We have first taking on second here in Group D and both will be eager to stay ahead of Montenegro who are trailing by just two points. Both sides are in good form, winning three of their last five each while Hungary at home have won four and drawn one while Serbia have won three and drawn two on their recent travels.

The hosts have scored nine over their last five at home while the away side have netted 11 on their travels so goals should very much be on the menu in Budapest.

Italy v Malta

Stadio Comunale San Nicola, Bari, 7:45pm
TV: Viaplay

Domenico Beradi to Score

There’s a little known secret in Italian football, the international federation will schedule a game to take place in Bari when they really need a win. There’s just something about the fans who travel to Bari that eggs on the Azzurri a little bit more.

Sassuolo’s Domenico Beradi has been a popular goalscorer bet this season, he’s scored five in six in the Serie A this campaign and should be leading the line here. Malta don’t usually lose by much and will aim to frustrate the host but Beradi in such good form should be able to unlock their defence over the 90 minutes.

Federico Chiesa to have 2 or more Shots on Target

Juventus’ Federico Chiesa has four goals in seven for the Old Lady this season and has been averaging just shy of 2.5 shots per game for the Turin giants. He’ll be playing support to Beradi here, coming in off the wing and we should see some decent link-up play between them.

He loves a pop from around the edge of the box and against such a defence-minded opponent, he’ll surely be taking a few shots and should get at least two on target.

USA v Germany

Rentschler Field, Connecticut, 8pm

Both Teams to Score

Unfortunately this game isn’t being televised in the UK which is a shame as plenty of football fans would like another look at Julien Nagelsmann’s Germany after their recent 2-1 victory over France. It’s pretty much the same squad as Hansi Flick’s but it seems like the handbrake is off and they certainly played with more freedom against the French.

The US love taking on Germany, a rivalry born of dual passports rather than any political but the stats have won two of the last three fixtures between the sides. The home side have scored 16 goals over their last five at home while the Germans have netted nine over their last five away games, so we should certainly see both teams getting on the scoresheet.
