English Premier League
Selhurst Park, Saturday, 5:30pm
TV: Sky Sports Main Event
Saturday’s final Premier League game serves us up a treat at Selhurst Park with Crystal Palace vs Nottingham Forest. Both teams entered the weekend around midtable in the Premier League table. Both teams have impressed at times so far this year and will be hoping that three points on Saturday can push them higher up the table.
Will it be Roy Hodgson or Steve Cooper’s team that get the win on Saturday?

Under 2.5 goals
I think the easiest thing to predict for Palace vs Forest is a low scoring game. Interestingly there have been Under 2.5 goals scored in all four of Forest’s past four games, while the last three times these clubs have met in all competitions, we’ve also seen Under 2.5 goals. T
he Under has also landed in two of Palace’s three home games this season. It’s also worth pointing out that there have been no goals scored in the first halves of any of Palace’s three home games this year, which tells you everything you need to know about the way the team sets up to start games.
Jordan Ayew to commit 2 or more fouls
The second leg is focused on Palace’s Jordan Ayew. We are backing the 32-year old Ghanian forward to commit two or more fouls. Ayew is an ever-present for Palace so far, playing the full 90 minutes in all seven of their Premier League matches. When you’re backing a player to commit multiple fouls it’s important that they’re on the pitch for the majority of games, something we’ve seen with Ayew this campaign.
More importantly for us he has committed an average of 1.9 fouls per game, a team high and is very likely to give up multiple fouls here against a Nottingham Forest team who can be dangerous on the counter attack.

Gonzalo Montiel to commit 1 or more fouls
So far Gonzalo Montiel has started just one game and played in another two from the bench since he joined the club from Sevilla. Despite only playing 122 minutes in the Premier League he’s already picked up two yellow cards and has committed an average of a foul per game.
The Argentinian is a player you might remember from the World Cup in Qatar who despite only starting one game managed to pick up three yellows, such was his love of fouling. When he gets on the pitch, if he doesn’t start, then I’m certain we’ll see him up to his old tricks.
Morgan Gibbs-White to attempt 30 or more passes
Morgan Gibbs-White is the man for Nottingham Forest and their best player by a distance. He’s the team’s creative beacon and has displayed some fantastically dangerous balls already this season.
Through seven Premier League games, including six starts, he’s averaged exactly 30 passes per game and I think it’s a safe bet to back him to have 30 or more passes here. You have to remember that this is a team who have already played Man City, Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea this season, all teams who’ll starve the opposition of possession. Forest should have more of the ball against Palace and Gibbs-White will be central in helping dictate the play and create openings for his team.
Over 4.5 total cards
So far this season we’ve seen Crystal Palace average less than two cards per game, with 11 in seven matches in the Premier League. However, at Selhurst Park they’ve averaged two per game, an increase.
Meanwhile in Forest’s four away games they’ve had 17 yellow cards and one red. I’m expecting an evenly matched game between these two teams and can see cards flying, especially in the latter stages with the score tight as the 90th minute gets closer.
