It’s not often these days that we get a bumper slot of 3pm kickoffs in the Premier League but this weekend we have six to get our teeth stuck into. An exciting Saturday of Premier League action includes all three of this year’s promoted teams, the red and blue halves of Manchester, the Gunners and more!
Our Multi-Match Bet Builder covers four of this week’s Premier League 3pm kick offs and comes in at a tasty 17/1.
Starting off the Bet Builder with a leg that involves an Everton player scoring, I can hear the judgement already, but stick with me here. Everton are a different team with Dominic Calvert-Lewin playing and if he could stay fit then he’d probably be playing at one of the Premier League’s big boys.
Since returning from injury he’s played three games, in which the team has beaten both Brentford and Aston Villa and lost, only narrowly, to Arsenal, one of the Premier League’s best teams.
He’s scored in both of his previous two games and Sean Dyche has spoken about him looking sharp. He’s a physical handful and will cause a bad Luton defence a lot of problems. Back him to continue his resurgence and find the back of the net.
Another anytime goalscorer pick here but this time it’s Man Utd’s new Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund. He’s not had the best start to his Red Devils career, with no goals in three Premier League appearances. That said he did score in his sole Champions League performance and he has been getting into good positions.
He has shown in his national shirt that he can be lethal with six in six and faces a Crystal Palace team who were dire when getting beaten by this same opposition in Carabao Cup action earlier in the week.
Palace allowed United to have 14 shots on Tuesday night and given Hojlund’s ability to find space in the box, he should get chances to open his Premier League account.
Cheick Doucoure to Commit 1 or more Fouls
Mali nternational Cheick Doucoure has averaged 1.2 fouls per game in the Premier League this season and will face the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Mason Mount and Casemiro here.
When the teams met on Tuesday night he committed one foul despite playing just 60 minutes. Given what we’ve seen of him this season, plus the added stakes of this being a Premier League, rather than a Carabao Cup, match, I think we’re likely to see another foul from Doucoure.
It gives me no joy to say it but Sheffield United are bad. Over their six games in the Premier League this season they’ve been dreadful, they’re averaging less than a goal scored per game and have conceded 17. They come into this fixture after an 8-0 thrashing from Newcastle and morale will be at an all-time low.
West Ham come into the weekend sitting in seventh position and playing what is arguably the best football of David Moyes’ reign at the club, although they have lost their past two in the league having started the season unbeaten for four games. They need to bounce back and what better way than a home tie against a poor Sheffield United team, they should walk this one.
What more is there to say about Manchester City? They’re the best team on the planet and arguably the greatest in Premier League history. They travel to Wolves on Saturday with a starting lineup that despite injuries is still packed with quality players such as Erling Haaland, Julian Alvarez, Phil Foden and more.
Only Bournemouth have committed more fouls per game than Wolves this season, with the home side clocking in 12.8 fouls on average. That’s surely set to rise with the arrival of City who pose so many attacking threats. Not only that but the return of Matheus Nunes to Molineux should get tempers flaring.
We have to back Wolves to Commit 12 or more Fouls here.
