    Spurs v Liverpool – Saturday, 5:30pm
    TV: Sky Sports Main Event

Tottenham can take a lot of confidence from the North London Derby performance. Last year they were miles apart.

This year they were a lot closer.

Both teams will have been alright with the draw in the end after cracking game.

Spurs might feel a little aggrieved just because of the penalty decision, but going away and getting a result like that against a side that many think will challenge City again this year was good.

They showed they’ve got some dangerous players too.

James Maddison looked a class above. When  he’s slipping someone like Son in with his pace, it’ll worry a lot of teams.

You can see the players are enjoying it again at Spurs too under Ange Postecoglou. They’re playing like kids again.

Although I knew about Postecoglou’s approach and liked what he was doing at Celtic, even he might say it’s gone better so far than he expected so far.

They’re back at home this week, and shouldn’t have a lot to fear, even if Liverpool are playing well.

    And they are.

It feels like things are coming together for Jurgen Klopp after last season.

Having Luis Diaz back is like getting a new signing. Nunez is obviously better having had a season in the Premier League.

The signings over the summer are looking good, Szoboszlai in particular. I saw him up close in the Wolves game earlier in the season and he was unreal.

He was a bit of a surprise signing, Alexis Mac Allister was the big one, but he’s really been taken to everyone’s hearts with the way he’s playing and the goals he’s scoring.

They are conceding too. They’ve fought back in several games this season, and they’ll want to cut out those early goals because there will be a time when they can’t come back, but they are showing great character and look like a proper side again.

And they look something near their best going forward. Just look at the team now – Salah, Nunez, Diaz, Jota, Gakpo. They’ve so many threats.

    Liverpool to Win

And I have to fancy Liverpool in this game because of it.

Tottenham, being at home, will come out and look to play – and they could obviously prove me wrong the way they’ve been playing – but I think Liverpool can hurt them when they get the chance.

They can keep up this winning run.

Both Teams to Score – Yes

Still, it should be a close game. These are two really- in-form teams and it should be one of the best games of the season so far with the way both managers will approach it.

I’d fancy Spurs to score for sure the way they’ve been playing and Liverpool have been allowing goals too, so Both Teams to Score makes sense.

Mo Salah to Have 1+ Shots on Target

I’ve talked about Liverpool’s attacking threat, and goals could come from all angles but I will never bet against Mo Salah.

He should be good for at least one shot on target.

Son Heung-Min to Have 1+ Shots on Target

Son’s made a good start to the season for Spurs.

He looks so calm finishing his chances this season. He’s like a different player now. And he should get at least one effort on goal on Saturday.

James Maddison had a scary moment at the Emirates but the sign are he’ll play this week.

He really seems to be making this Spurs side tick at the moment. He’s the likeliest provider for Tottenham and worth a look for an Anytime Assist.
