Nothing beats a packed Premier League Sunday and this one doesn’t get much better with five games. Four of those are in the 2pm slot and this Multi-Match Bet Builder will cover those.
These games include some of the Premier League’s biggest teams such as Chelsea v Aston Villa and Liverpool v West Ham, we’ll also see Brighton in a south coast matchup against Bournemouth, plus the biggest game of the weekend, the North London Derby between Arsenal and Tottenham. What a lineup.
Conor Gallagher to Commit 1 or More Fouls in the First Half
Many thought that Conor Gallagher would be amongst the exits at Stamford Bridge this summer but Chelsea weren’t able to get a deal to sell him over the line. Since then the club have signed both Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo, but they are both likely to miss this game.
That won’t bother Chelsea given some of the excellent performances that Gallagher has put in so far this season. It’s clear that Mauricio Pochettino trusts him and he’s delivered as he’s starting every single Premier League game and performed well.
That said, he has committed an average of two fouls per game, and I’m expecting this tough tackling midfielder to get amongst it early against Aston Villa and give away a freekick.
This season has been far from vintage stuff for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool but Mohamed Salah continues to be the club’s best player. It feels inevitability that Salah will swap Anfield for Saudi Arabia at some point but for now he’s staying in red and continuing to contribute.
He’s only scored two goals in five Premier League games so far but he’s also assisted four, meaning that he’s either bagging, or setting up, over one goal per game in the league. Those are astonishing numbers and he has a real chance to continue that here. We’re backing the Egyptian King to either score or assist her.
Brighton played catchup throughout their first ever European game on Thursday before ultimately losing to AEK Athens, who scored a late goal. They now welcome Bournemouth to the Amex and it’s essential that they get back to what they do best.
Roberto De Zerbi has done a great job here and I’m confident that he can get the players ready to bounce back from the disappointment of that Europa League loss. Bournemouth are yet to pick up a win this season and high-flying Brighton should be able to get back to winning ways on Sunday.
Martin Odegaard signed a new five-year deal to stay at Arsenal this week and I’m backing the Norwegian to get a shot on target during the North London Derby. Despite their great start to the Premier League campaign this Spurs team have allowed 13.4 shots per game and take on an Arsenal team who are far superior to what they’ve played so far.
Odegaard himself has two goals in the Premier League this season but the key number for us is that he has averaged 3.2 shots per game across his five matches. That leads his team and shows that the 24-year is more than willing to let off a shot when he gets into good positions.
I’m backing the Arsenal captain to lead by example and get at least one shot on target in the derby.
Destiny Udogie to Commit 2 or More Fouls
One thing we know about the North London Derby is that it’s always feisty. There are a number of teams on both sides who’ll be experiencing the derby for the first time on Sunday, one of them being Destiny Udogie.
Udogie will be playing at left back and tasked with keeping tabs on Bukayo Saka. Saka is a player far better than any he’s faced so far since arriving at Spurs, in an atmosphere that the 20-year old won’t have experienced so far in his career.
He’s given away 1.8 fouls per game so far this season, Saka who Arsenal’s most fouled player at 2.2 fouls per game will surely get the better of him on occasion. I think we’re likely to see the young Italian give up at least two fouls in the derby.
