Arsenal v Spurs – Sunday, 2:00pm
TV: Sky Sports Main Event/Premier League
Tottenham have made a great start under their new manager Ange Postecoglou. Their comeback from being 0-1 down to Sheffield United was amazing, to get two injury time goals was fantastic. And, the Tottenham fans are really loving this new style of play they’re seeing under Postecoglou, they feel like they’ve got their team back.
I’ve spoken to a few of their players and he’s really got them training and playing with a smile on their faces again.
Spurs would still be playing the same type of football if Harry Kane hadn’t departed to Bayern Munich but the manager’s brought an enjoyment to their football again. There were times when I was playing where it felt like a job rather than a game and you can’t play at your best when that’s the feeling around the place.
Going up against Arsenal this weekend it’s certainly their toughest test so far. I’ve had the pleasure of playing in these games, North London just comes to a standstill and as a fan I’ve watched them in the pub and there’s such a great buzz around them. It’s going to be a massive game.
Arsenal are the real deal again this year. They had a great result against PSV in the Champions League on Wednesday night and they look like they’re going to be the best of the rest in the Premier League again this season. I must say that Liverpool are much better this season too though.
This is the type of game where we’re going to see exactly where Tottenham are. Arsenal more-or-less established themselves again last year, getting back into the Champions League. That’s what Tottenham are aiming at. The result will tell us a lot about where both teams are at.
This is a difficult one for Spurs, they don’t have a great record travelling to the Emirates but they’re playing with a bit more freedom now and actually there’s going to be more pressure on Arsenal here. They’re looking at Manchester City after finishing second last season, they’re aiming for top spot now.
Spurs were so far behind where they should have been last season but with the results they’ve already had this season they can play with a bit more freedom.

Spurs to Win, Both Teams to Score
I fancy Spurs to get a result here. I don’t like that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is swapping goalkeepers in and out, that can really upset a defence. I’m going with Spurs to win here 1-2 because the pressure is off and they’re enjoying their football again.
I do see Arsenal scoring, they’ve been pretty good in front of goal of late but I still see Spurs edging it.
I’m backing Spurs to Win and Both Teams to Score.
James Maddison to Score or Assist
Richarlison looks like he may just have turned a corner with Spurs but I’d have to fancy James Maddison to either score or assist for the away side. Maddison is one of the most creative players in the league and he’s just fit in so well already.
Spurs fans really love a creative midfielder, you think of Paul Gascoigne, David Ginola, Luka Modric and the like from the past. They already love Maddison, he’s going to have a good career at Tottenham.
Yves Bissouma to Commit 1 or More Fouls
Yves Bissouma sitting in front of that Spurs defence has been excellent so far this season but he’s picked up two cards already. In such a fiery atmosphere he should be picking up a card.
Richarlison to be Shown a Card
As I’ve said above, I don’t reckon he’ll be among the goals but I can see him having an impact on the game. We know he loves a bit of sh*thousey and he should really enjoy and engage with the occasion and we might just see his name being taken by the referee.
