Cambridge v Reading
League One
Abbey Stadium, 8pm
TV: Sky Sports Football
Both Teams to Score
Sitting in 18th position after five games with just five points, things are not going well for Reading since being relegated from the Championship. They should be on six points after two wins but they’ve had one point deducted. Cambridge are faring better with three wins over their five matches and have scored at least two goals in five of their last seven at home in the league so you’d have to expect them to score here.
The Royals have scored six goals over their last four games and have scored five goals over their last three away games in all competitions so they should get at least one as well. Both Teams to Score has decent odds here.
Cambridge to Win
With Cambridge scoring those aforementioned two goals in five of their last seven at home you’d have to side with U’s. They’ve also won five of their last seven home League One contests while the away side have won just one away game over their last 17. You’d have to give the hosts the nod based on those stats.

Reading to Receive the Most Cards
Cambridge received no bookings in their last home game and just one in the prior one. Prior to that, in their first home games of the season against Oxford, they picked up four which was very much an outlier even when compared to last season’s stats for Cambridge.
Reading are a bit on the naughty side of things, they’ve picked 20 yellow cards over their five league games and one League Cup match already and of their three away games this season picked up four, two and four. As the away team you’d have to expect them to collect more cards here.
Over 4.5 Cambridge Corners
The U’s have hit six corners in both of their most recent home league games, while Reading on their travels this season have conceded seven, five and 12 over their last three away games. We could probably go for a higher number here but let’s err on the side of caution as the hosts will surely chalk up five corners.
Sam Hutchinson to be Shown a Card
Since joining Reading from Sheffield Wednesday, Sam Hutchinson unfortunately missed much of last season thanks to injury but over his dozen or so games picked up four cards. He’s already picked up one this season and sitting right in the middle of the back four, against a front four who have been among the goals, we have him as the most likely player to have his name taken.
