Crystal Palace v Wolves

Eberechi Eze to score or assist

Whenever Crystal Palace play there’s one player you have to look out for first and that’s Eberechi Eze. The 25-year old has really grown in the past couple of seasons and has really earned a place in the England squad. He’s Palace’s best player and capable of so much in terms of transitioning with the ball, scoring and setting up others.

Last year he scored 10 and assisted four in the Premier League, but this year he’s yet to get off the mark in either category. I’m expecting that to change soon and now we’re four games in we should start to see his impressive performances translate into the numbers to back it up.

Nelson Semedo to commit 2 or more fouls

Nelson Semedo has been one of Wolves’ best players this season and was superb in their defeat against Man Utd to open the season. That said the Portuguese rightback has been averaging 2.3 fouls against per game.

With the directness of Palace’s attack, and with Eze often moving out to the left and coming inside from there, I’m expecting him to get at least two fouls in this game too.

Liverpool v Aston Villa

Darwin Nunez to score

The Uruguayan has yet to start a Premier League game for Liverpool this season but that will chance on Sunday, it simply has to after Nunez’s performance against Newcastle last weekend. He came on in the 77th minute with Liverpool 1-0 down and fired them to a victory with two big goals, making himself the clubs joint top scorer on the season.

When he’s at his best he looks so dangerous and while he missed a lot of goalscoring opportunities last season it showed his movement and guile that he got into those positions to miss. With his quality it’s inevitable that there’s positive regression and I’m expecting a big season from Liverpool’s number nine now that he’s more settled in the Premier League. We’ll be backing him to cause Villa problems and get on the scoresheet.

Darwin Nunez to commit 1 or more fouls

Nunez is without doubt one of the most chaotic footballers in the Premier League and in many ways one of the most box office, as equally capable of brilliance as doing something stupid.

Last season he averaged 0.9 fouls per game, despite starting 10 of his 29 appearances on the bench, as well as fouling as often as 1.4 times per game in the Champions League. So far through three games, all from the bench, he is yet to commit a foul. With him starting his match it’s very hard to see it going by without a foul being committed.

Moussa Diaby to have 1 or more shots on target

The signing of Moussa Diaby already looks a shrewd one for Unai Emery’s team. The Frenchman has already bagged two Premier League goals, added an assist and given Ollie Watkins another goal threat to play alongside.

He’s a great player and he also averages 2.7 shots per game, tied for the highest in the Villa team. This is a Liverpool team, who allowed Newcastle 23 shots last weekend, eight of which were on target. Admittedly, they did lose Virgil Van Dijk early in the game to a red card but they were susceptible to Newcastle’s pace and directness from earlier than that and Diaby has the tools to cause them issues, so we’ll be backing him to get a shot on target at Anfield.
