With just one point to their name and games against Brighton, Chelsea and Arsenal on the immediate horizon, Bournemouth could conceivably start the season with one point from seven games if they fail to get a result at Brentford on Saturday.
The Cherries have undeniably had a difficult start to the season with games against Liverpool and a rejuvenated Tottenham in their opening three games, but that will not ease the pressure on new manager Andoni Iraola if his side sit bottom of the table after seven games.
They take on a Brentford side that has made a decent start to the season, collecting five points from their opening three games.
Brentford have looked good going forward but susceptible at the back, presenting each of their opponents with good opportunities.
Bournemouth, on the other hand, have yet to keep a clean sheet in the league but caused problems for Liverpool and Tottenham and will back themselves to score on Saturday.
The Tottenham revolution continues under Ange Postecoglou, who has overseen an excellent start to the season.
Spurs have taken seven points from three games playing an entertaining brand of attacking football and look like genuine contenders for the Champions League places at the end of the season.
Burnley, meanwhile, are yet to win so much as a point in the league and will be desperate to avoid a third straight home defeat.
Vincent Kompany’s side were not expected to go down, but three consecutive home defeats to start their season would immediately put them on the back foot.
Turf Moor should be rocking on Saturday and Burnley will surely attempt to put Spurs under pressure in front of their own fans.
As good as Spurs have been, they have offered opportunities to each of their opponents.
Manchester United and Brentford both had six efforts on target (and beat Spurs on expected goals), while even Bournemouth managed three efforts on target last week.
Assuming he starts, Guglielmo Vicario could be busy between the sticks on Saturday afternoon.
It is only early days, but Nottingham Forest have already slipped to second bottom in the Premier League’s disciplinary table.
Forest have picked up eight yellow cards and one sending off in their three games to date, with seven of those cards coming away from home against United and Arsenal.
Teams are still getting used to new directives calling for more bookings for time wasting and dissent and Forest are no different.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see them pick up three or more bookings on Saturday, especially considering they are unlikely to dominate the ball.
Over 8.5 Chelsea Corners
Forest’s struggles on the road are well documented. Steve Cooper’s side have won just once in 21 away games since winning promotion to the Premier League, although they did manage to grab a point in this fixture last season.
However, they are likely to come under significant pressure on Saturday afternoon as Chelsea aim to record back-to-back wins in the league.
Forest have conceded 26 corners in their opening three games at a rate of almost nine per game. They have conceded 19 in two away games against United and Arsenal and come up against a Chelsea side that has won an average of just over six per game this season.
They are likely to considerably better that average on Saturday.
Erling Haaland to Have Three or More Shots on Target
Manchester City may be the only Premier League side to win all three of their opening games and Erling Haaland might be the league’s joint top scorer, but it still feels like City and their goalscorer-in-chief can still go up several gears.
Haaland was relatively quiet in City’s 1-0 win over Newcastle and spurned several chances against Sheffield United before finally finding the back of the net in the second half.
It wouldn’t be surprising if he came to life against Fulham on Saturday – a side that has conceded more expected goals than any other in the opening three games.
Haaland averages 5.3 shots per game in the league so far and it wouldn’t be surprising if he landed at least three efforts on the Fulham goal on Saturday.
