Despite not scoring in the league yet, Everton’s xG is just below Spurs’, who people are calling born-again and revolutionary due to their showings thus far. It makes you think doesn’t it?

I’d love to make the case for a draw no bet type play here, but Doncaster are officially the easiest draw you can get in this competition because they’re 92^nd of 92 in the football league pyramid.

I won’t waste your time here because I actually think the price about Everton is a little bit of value, no matter how low the morale is on Merseyside.

All of this piece relied upon what Sean Dyche does in these ties, and there’s significant evidence to suggest he forces struggling players to play here. Maupay’s missed an incredible amount of chances through three weeks.

He’s the kind of player that’ll go on a run perhaps, but the downgrade in terms of quality he’s playing against will likely be the catalyst his manager wants.

Whenever I think they should just get rid of this tournament, my mind always claws back to the type of player that Arnaut Danjuma is, and how I’ll come away from games like this swearing that United will sign him for £70m.

Now, that’s about the going rate for a sub winger at Old Trafford these days anyway so the point is a bit dated, but you know what I mean. His feet will torment Doncaster more than anyone else will, and don’t be surprised to see him get on the scoresheet.

Over 3.5 Goals

Donny have conceded twelve bloody times this season in the league, and while Everton not scoring could be deemed an issue for this leg, all it means to me is that if they do score, they’ll likely keep piling on because of the release.

And it’s not like Everton themselves are particularly scenario-focused, either. They’re conceding goals both in the very early stages and very late on.

So my belief is that they’re really lacking concentration in key moments, which should allow Donny to find a soft spot at some stage of the game.
