7:30pm: RB Leipzig v VfB Stuttgart

RB Leipzig To Win and Both Teams To Score

Guten abend! It’s off to Germany for our first stop on Friday night and RB Leipzig will hopefully kick things off with a victory.

Die Rotten Bullen suffered a 3-2 defeat at Bayer Leverkusen on the first weekend of the campaign, but they have never lost their opening two games of a Bundesliga season. If that wasn’t enough, they have also won their five previous meetings with Stuttgart on home soil.

Stuttgart earned an impressive 5-0 victory over VfL Bochum last Saturday to top the early table and take their record to 21 goals in nine games under Sebastian Hoeneß.

Despite being one of the form teams since Hoeneß took charge last April, Die Roten were poor on the road all campaign and their terrible record at the Red Bull Arena is too strong to ignore.

8pm: Chelsea v Luton

Chelsea (-1)

London’s calling for the next stop and Chelsea will be looking to give their season liftoff under the Friday night lights.

The Blues were decent enough against Liverpool and West Ham without converting their chances – 27 shots with just eight finding the target – and the visit of Luton to Stamford Bridge could see them score an emphatic victory.

The Hatters leaked four goals on the opening day of the season at Brighton and could lack match sharpness after last weekend’s match against Burnley was postponed due to ground improvements at Kenilworth Road.

8pm: Nantes v Monaco

Monaco To Win

A short hop across the English Channel to France for the big match in Ligue 1 as early league leaders Monaco are at Nantes.

The Principality club have hit the ground running with two wins from two, racking up seven goals in the process, and they will fancy their chances against a side that lost both their opening games.

Nantes just about avoided the dreaded drop last season and look to be in store for another difficult campaign. Despite holding Monaco to draws in their last three meetings at the Stade de la Beaujoire, La Maison Jaune were poor on home soil in 2022/23 so it’s worth taking a chance on the visitors to leave with all three points.

8:30pm: Celta Vigo v Real Madrid

Real Madrid To Win

To Spain for the final match of the evening where Real Madrid are bidding to continue their perfect start to the season.

Los Blancos kicked off their campaign with a 2-0 win against Athletic Bilbao before strolling to a 3-1 win at Almeria last Saturday.

Recent history is on Real’s side as they have won their last six league meetings with Celta Vigo.

The Sky Blues, managed by former Real boss Rafael Benitez, are winless in their opening two games this term and are set to lose star man Gabri Veiga to Saudi Arabia.

Jude Bellingham To Have 1 Or More Shots On Target

Jude Bellingham has started his Real career with a bang by scoring three goals in two games.

An advanced midfield role has aided the 20-year-old’s attacking output and he has already had five shots on target from eight attempts.

Celta allowed 28 shots – seven of which were on target – against Osasuna and Real Sociedad so the visitors are likely to have plenty of chances.
