Bologna v AC Milan
Stadio Renato Dall’Ara
TV: TNT Sports, 7:45pm
AC Milan to Win
AC Milan’s Stefano Pioli has bolstered the Milan attack with the signings of both Christian Pulisic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea as well as an interesting signing in Noah Okafor from RB Salzburg who has a strong record of both scoring and creating. Olivier Giroud will still be keeping his place up top however, with Rafael Leao playing support.
Bologna have won none of Milan’s last 10 visits to them and that’s unlikely to change, the away side didn’t have a good preseason results wise but they played Juventus, Real Madrid and Barcelona. With the additional firepower available to them we expect the away side to keep their strong record at Bologna intact.
Rafael Leao to have 1 or More Shots on Target
Rafael Leao was one of the shining lights in what ended up being a disappointing title defence last season from AC Milan. The young Portuguese scored 15 Serie A goals last season, as well as assisting eight. Over 28 starts for the Italian giants last season he chalked up 29 shots on target and he should be getting one on target here.
Crystal Palace v Arsenal
Selhurst Park
TV: Sky Sports Main Event/Premier League, 8pm
Both Teams to Score
Seven of the last nine meetings between this pair at Selhurst Park have seen Both Teams to Score landing. The Eagles finished the season quite strongly under Roy Hodgson at the tail end of last season, scoring nine goals over their last five home games. Arsenal finished last season with a whimper on the road, winning just one of their last five on their travels, although they did at least score seven goals. Both Teams to Score has to go in our Bet Builder with those stats.
Martin Odegaard to have 1 or More Shots on Target
At times last season it looked like Martin Odegaard was single-handedly keeping the Gunners in the title race. He scored 15 goals last season, creating a further seven and had 31 shots on target over his 37 matches.
With the signing of former Republic of Ireland midfielder Declan Rice to assist in breaking up opposition attacks, we might even see more of Odegaard lurking at the edge of opposition boxes this season. Palace are going to go long spells without the ball on Monday night and Odegaard should play a starring role.

Granada v Rayo Vallecano
Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes
TV: Viaplay, 8:30pm
Both Teams to Score
Granada began their return to La Liga with a 3-1 thumping away to Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid while Rayo were 0-2 winners away to Almeria. The hosts were strong last season in their drive for promotion, losing none of their 21 home games and scoring 39 goals on home turf.
Obviously, it’s a step up in quality and Rayo, while they didn’t finish the season in great form, they did score six over their last six away league games.
The away side conceded 15 over those six games though so you’d have to expect the hosts to score, particularly as they scored so many in the second tier last season. The value here is in the Both Teams to Score market.
