Barcelona v Cadiz
Nou Camp, 6:30pm
TV: Viaplay
Over 2.5 Goals
Barcelona began this La Liga season with a lacklustre 0-0 draw away to Getafe in a game that saw two red cards. The Catalans will surely get their title defence off to a win in their first home game of the season and while Cadiz will try to keep it tight, Anu Fati and Robert Lewandowski have been in excellent pre-season form. With the addition of Ilkay Gundogen pulling the string in midfield, Barca could run riot here.
Robert Lewandowski to Score
Poland’s Lewandowski has only faced Cadiz twice but has scored two goals already against them. He scored 23 La Liga goals last season as the Catalans powered to a league title. With Real bolstering their squad over the summer, Barca are going to need a strong start from the off and Lewy’s goals are of paramount importance to that. We have him adding to his Cadiz tally.
Lecce v Lazio
Stadio Comunale Via del Mare, 7:45pm
TV: TNT Sports
Lazio to Win
For lovers of the Serie A, it’s a sad thing that we won’t be seeing Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this season, as he’s been tempted away from Rome by Saudi money. Regardless, Lazio still have Ciro Immobile, Felipe Anderson and Luis Alberto but Savic will certainly be a loss over the full season.
Lecce scraped survival last season and will be hoping to do better this time around under new manager Roberto D’Aversa. Lazio have won in three of their last five visits here and with the additional firepower they have in their starting XI, we’re backing an away win.

Udinese v Juventus
Stadio Friuli, 7:45pm
TV: TNT Sports
Both Teams to Score
Udinese will be eager to improve on their 12th placed finish last season, Juve ended up finishing seventh, although were it not for their off-field shenanigans they’d have finished third. Without European football then, manager Max Allegri can focus on landing the Serie A title to the Turin giants again.
The hosts rarely go a home Serie A game without scoring, indeed they’ve scored in eight of their last 10 on home soil while Juve have scored in nine of their last 10 visits to the Stadio Friuli. Both Teams to Score has to be a pick here.
Juventus to Win
The Old Lady have won here in five of their last eight trips and ended last season with a win here in their last game too. This will surely inspire the hosts to up their game for some revenge but there’s just too much talent in the away side and they should be coming out on top over the 90 minutes.
Betis v Atletico Madrid
Estadio Benito Villamarin, 8:30pm
TV: Viaplay
Both Teams to Score
The vast amount of punters would likely go for an Atletico win here but previous results show that they’ve won here four times over their last six while Betis have scored at least one goal in five of those six games. It’s their first home game of the season and began with a 1-2 win over Villarreal on the road last weekend.
Atletico’s forward line looks as strong as ever and they’ve also strengthened at the back and while they should win here based on the strength of their starting XI, the better value is in backing Both Teams to Score.
