We have some Irish and Scottish interest in Thursday European qualifiers; Derry City are away in Kazakhstan while Hearts travel to Norway and Hibernian get to stay in Edinburgh. Elsewhere we’ll be looking at two other clashes involving some pretty big names. We’re piled over the stats here and found a very tasty-looking Bet Builder so let’s get straight into it.

Tobol v Derry City – Both Teams to Score

Ortaliq Stadion, Kostani, 3pm
Both sides have played four European games this season with the hosts winning two, drawing one and losing one while Derry have won two and drawn two. Both teams are mid-season too so fitness won’t be an issue and while it should be around 20C when kickoff time comes, it’s predicted to be rather warmer during the day so that may have an effect on the Irish players.

Tobol have only conceded in four of their last 10 home games and have scored in nine of those 10 but Derry’s form is pretty good of late, scoring nine over their last five matches as well as five over their last five on their travels; Both Teams to Score has some decent value at the current price for two teams in good goal-scoring shape.

Rosenborg v Hearts – Over 2.5 Goals

Lerkendal Stadion, Trondheim, 6pm
Scotland’s Hearts face a tough away trip to Norway’s Rosenborg seeing as the Norwegians are 18 games into their domestic season and they’re enjoying a run of six games undefeated. Hearts did begin their Premiership season with a 0-2 away win over St Johnston however so they’ll take confidence from that.

They’ll also take confidence from the fact that the hosts have conceded in eight of their last 10 at home while the Scot have scored in five of their last seven away games. With those records there’s decent value in an Over 2.5 Goals pick here.

Hibernian v Luzern – Over 2.5 Goals

Easter Road, Edinburgh, 7:30pm
A 6-1 win in the last round saw the blushes of their 2-1 away defeat to an Andorran side truly banished last week but Hibs face a tricky match here against the Swiss side Luzern. The Scottish league does rank higher than the Swiss one but only by two places. The away side have played a total of five games this season with Hibs playing three so far, both teams having lost their most recent league game over the previous weekend.

The good news for both sides is in front of goal, Hibs have scored at least two goals in four of their last five home games while Luzern have done so in three of their last five away games so goals should be on the menu; we’re going with Overs here.

Olympiakos v Genk – Both Teams to Score

Stadio Georgios Karaiskaki, Piraeus, 8pm
This will be Olympiakos’ first game of the season while for Genk it will be their fifth, albeit, the Belgian side have only won one of their four games played so far. They have, at least, scored seven goals over those four games so you’d have to expect them to get one in the net here.

The hosts were in the UK recently, they beat Rangers in Scotland before losing to Norwich but their most recent home form has seen them scoring 10 goals over their last five, if we remove two friendly games, they’ve scored 12 over their last five. We’ll probably see Overs here but a Both Teams to Score pick makes better sense.

Hajduk Split v PAOK – Hajduk Split to Win

Stadion Poljud, Split, 8pm
Split have won both of their league games this season but lost the Super Cup season-opener against Dinamo Zagreb previously. PAOK have played two in Europe this season beating Beitar Jerusalem 5-1 on aggregate in the previous round of the Europe Conference League.

You’d have to expect an even-enough match-up here, Croatia and Greece are ranked 19th and 20th in UEFA’s coefficient. Saying that however, the hosts are unbeaten over their last eight competitive games on home soil, winning six, while the Greek side have won just two of their last six on their travels, losing three and drawing one. This one has the feel of home advantage making a huge difference so we’re going to side with the Croats.
