England to Win
England qualified for the knockout stages in an extremely professional manner, winning each of their three group games 2-0 to top their group at a canter.
Their team is stacked with Premier League talent and they are justifiably seen as favourites to win the competition. Portugal, meanwhile, endured a turbulent group stage.
Their goose looked cooked after a shock opening day defeat against co-hosts Georgia, but they impressively managed to take four points off heavyweights Netherlands and Belgium to qualify for the knockout stages alongside Georgia.
It was only a last-gasp penalty against Belgium that saw Portugal advance to a quarter-final meeting with England on Sunday and it’s hard to see anything but a routine England victory.
England have been so consistent so far, while Portugal have stuttered into the last-eight, albeit from a very difficult group on paper. Lee Carsley’s side should have enough to advance to the last four.
Both Teams to Score? No
England are the only team to emerge from the group stages without conceding a goal. In truth, their opponents have barely even managed to lay a glove on them.
Israel and Czech Republic managed just three shots on target between them, while Germany managed five in their meeting on the final day. Germany’s seemingly high volume of shots must be tempered with the fact that Carsley made wholesale changes to the England team considering they had already qualified as group winners.
The English defence is brimming with young talent, notably Levi Colwill and Max Aarons, who bought boast significant Premier League experience. It’s difficult to see Portugal breaching the English backline on Sunday so I’ll take Both Teams To Score? No.

Portugal to Have Four or More Shots on Target
England have been watertight at the back in their three previous games at the Euros, keeping three clean sheets and facing just eight shots on target, the majority of those coming against Germany when England had already qualified.
Portugal, however, are likely to provide England with their toughest test yet. The Portuguese average four shots on target per game at the Euros and were the top-scoring nation in qualifying for the competition, scoring an incredible 41 goals in 10 games.
There is a good chance that they will lay siege to the England goal in the dying minutes of Sunday’s game if England are holding onto a slender lead and Portugal are facing elimination. Portugal to Have Four or More Shots on Target is your final punt.
