40 or More Goals During Sunday’s Games
34 or More Goals, 104 or More Corners, and 36 or More Cards During Sunday’s Games
Each Team to Have 2 or More Shots on Target

All things must end but we’re looking forward to what will surely be a drama-packed final round of Premier League fixtures this Sunday.

Shane O’Brien’s delved into the stats and found some value picks in the #WhatOddsPaddy markets for the last day of the top flight until August.

40 or More Goals During Sunday’s Games

An average of four goals per game may seem high, but this has been a season like no other in terms of goals scored. The current average of 2.84 goals per game is the highest in Premier League history, while the final round of fixtures in April equalled the record for the most number of goals in a single gameweek (44).

More recently, three games on the Coronation bank holiday shared a whopping 21 goals between them, another Premier League record.

With the vast majority of the fixtures on the final day essentially being dead rubbers, there is every chance that teams will throw off the shackles and provide some goalfests for us to enjoy with 40 or More Goals During Sunday’s Games

34 or More Goals, 104 or More Corners, and 36 or More Cards During Sunday’s Games

A tempting price, this market requires an average of 3.4 goals per game, which is more than achievable. It also requires an average of 10.4 corners per game, which is above the league average of 10.1 per game.

However, with Everton, Leicester, and Leeds all playing in front of their own fans as they attempt to secure their Premier League status, all three clubs are likely to significantly better their rather poor corner averages, which should move Sunday’s corner count up toward the 10.4 mark.

There has also been a total of 1,354 cards brandished during the Premier League this season – an average of 3.7 per game. That is above the required average for this What Odds Paddy pick and considering tempers are going to be wearing thin in the three relegation deciders, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a flurry of yellow cards on the final day of the season. 34 or More Goals, 104 or More Corners, and 36 or More Cards During Sunday’s Games might look like a stretch but the numbers suggest it’s a really good bet.

Each Team to Have 2 or More Shots on Target

If there is going to be a flurry of end-of-season goals, then it stands to reason that there will also be a high number of shots on target. So many teams have nothing to play for that there should be plenty of end-to-end games.

Even Nottingham Forest, who boast the league’s worst away record in terms of points gained and goals scored, should feel free to have a go at Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. Southampton, who are condemned to a bottom-place finish and facing a strong Liverpool side, will surely want to give their fans something to shout about as they say goodbye to the Premier League for the time being.

Wolves’ away trip to Arsenal poses some threat to this bet, but Arsenal have been so shambolic in recent weeks that even Wolves, who have not won away since February, will fancy their chances of getting something at the Emirates.

All three sides in the relegation battle are likely to pepper their opponents’ goals with shots, but they also all boast incredibly poor defensive records and will surely concede chances at the other end. We’ll finish off with Each Team to Have 2 or More Shots on Target in the Premier League on Sunday.
