With Getafe picking up a point against Elche over the weekend Valladolid fell into the relegation zone. With games now running short the hosts simply cannot afford yet another loss. Their form is terrible however with no wins over their last five fixtures. On home soil, things are slightly better with one win, one draw and three losses over their last five, with seven goals scored and 14 conceded. Barca have won three, drawn one and lost one over their last five on their La Liga travels, scoring 10 and conceding four. The hosts have to throw caution to the proverbial here and we reckon both should be getting on the scoresheet.

As mentioned above, Los Pucelanos have to go for it here, they’ve got a decent average of 5.24 corners per home La Liga game and now that Barcelona have been crowned title winners the pressure is off them to get anything from this match. The away side will probably be happy to concede much of the possession here and allow the hosts onto them meaning we should see them taking pot shots in and around the box so they should get a fair amount of corners. The hosts will be attacking here and with the likes of Sergio Busquets and Gavi, who is returning from a card suspension, in the side it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Catalans picking up at least two cards.

Poland captain Robert Lewandowski looks back to his best after what was a wee goal-barren period. The former Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund striker now has five over his last five in a Barcelona shirt and five over his last five on the road as well. As mentioned above, the hosts have conceded 15 over their last five at home so the Pole should be getting on the scoresheet and adding to his tally of 22 La Liga goals for the season.
Gavi to Commit 2 or More Fouls
Gavi returns from his red card suspension here and will fit back into his role of breaking up opposition attacks and getting the ball forward to Lewandowski, Raphinha and Pedri. The youngster has averaged 2.74 fouls per game this season so we’re expecting him to commit at least two here against a side desperate for three points and La Liga survival.
