    Championship play-off semi-final, second-leg: Middlesbrough v Coventry (Agg: 0-0)

    Middlesbrough to Win

After an uneventful first leg between Coventry and Middlesbrough, the sides face off once again on Wednesday night with a place in the Championship playoff final up for grabs.

Boro managed to keep it tight at the weekend with the game finishing 0-0 and Michael Carrick’s side will be hoping to use their home advantage at the Riverside.

They’ve won or drawn 20 of their 23 games at home all season, losing just three times. They’ve also scored 46 goals and conceded just 19 times in those 23 home matches.

We’re siding with Middlesbrough to Win to kick off our Bet Builder, especially with Coventry winning just seven of their 23 away games on the road this season.

Cameron Archer to Score or Assist

We’ve mentioned we like the look of a home win and if Middlesbrough are going to score, Cameron Archer will probably be involved.

The Aston Villa loanee has been sensational since joining in January, with the 21-year-old netting 11 times and chipping in with six assists in 18 starts under Carrick.

Archer averages around two shots per game and he leads the line for Middlesbrough. We’re going to back Archer to Score or Assist just in case the forward sets up one of his team-mates.

Chuba Akpom to Have 2 or More Shots on Target

While Archer has been crucial for Middlesbrough since joining from Villa in January, there’s no denying that Chuba Akpom is their main man.

The attacking midfielder won the Championship Golden Boot after netting 28 times in 36 starts this season.

The 27-year-old has averaged just under three shots per game in the Championship and he’s in the form of his life.

Akpom to Have 2 or More Shots on Target makes plenty of sense as the former Arsenal man looks to guide Middlesbrough to the playoff final at Wembley.

Gustavo Hamer to Commit 2 or More Fouls

Our final Bet Builder selection is Gustavo Hamer to Commit 2 or More Fouls.

The Coventry midfielder is all action. He’s netted nine goals, chipped in with 10 assists and been shown a card on eight occasions (six yellows and one red).

Hamer averages 2.6 tackles and 1.7 fouls per game for Coventry and considering a playoff final spot is on the line, he’ll be getting stuck in.

He committed three fouls in the first leg at the Coventry Building Society Arena and he’s had at least three fouls in four of his last seven appearances.
