Sunday 2pm: Everton v Man City
Premier League
TV: Sky Sports Premier League

In what Merseyside Police have deemed the second most important event happening in Liverpool this weekend, Sean Dyche’s men host league leaders Man City in a game that is going to mean everything for their survival, with the Toffees sitting a mere two points outside of the relegation zone. After a massive victory over Brighton on Monday, every point is pivotal for Everton, as they look to take advantage of a side whose sights will firmly be fixed on their Champions League semifinal against Real Madrid next Wednesday.

Draw

The end of the Premier League season exists in a world of its own, teams battling for survival can come up with the most unlikely of results, and this could very well be one of them. We know just how well Sean Dyche has been able to cause upsets against bigger sides, and even if he can’t come away with all three points, just one could be the difference between Everton and the drop.

With Man City sitting atop the table by two points, a game in hand yet to play and a much more menacing opponent in Real Madrid coming up on Wednesday, this is a game that may surprise many.

Both Teams to Score

Nevermind the fact that Everton put up five goals against Brighton less than a week ago. Everton have failed to score just twice since their 4-0 drubbing to Arsenal at the start of March. With Ederson ranking as the fourth worst keeper in the league when it comes to goals prevented – there will absolutely be opportunities there for Everton, it’s just a case of them taking them.

As for City, few can argue they won’t score and even if Erling Haaland is rested with the aforementioned semifinal in mind there’s more than enough firepower in Pep Guardiola’s side to get at least a goal.

Dwight McNeil To Have 1 Or More Shots On Target

Dwight McNeil left the Amex Stadium with a brace under his belt on Monday. If any man knows how to deploy McNeil in an effective manner, it’s Sean Dyche. If any attacking player is able to execute Sean Dyche’s vision as a winger, it’s McNeil they’re a match made in heaven.

McNeil has gotten himself seven Premier League goals this season in total from 15 shots on target this season. From a conversion standpoint, it’s his best season where he’s taken more than 30 total shots. He’s available at value here, and we’ve got to take him at it.

Man City To Have 6 Or More Shots On Target

Man City are second in the Premier League in terms of shots on target per game with 6.1. With Everton set up to sit off the ball and rely heavily on their ability to counterattack – Man City will be given plenty of opportunity to get shots on goal, even if it means passing it around Dyche’s famed low block. Everton rank fourth in saves made per game, and third in terms of clearances per game. All this suggests a lot of play very deep in the Evertonian half. Expect to see City’s high shots on target trend continue on Sunday.
