Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest

Both Teams to Score

Nottingham Forest gave their survival hopes a huge shot in the arm with their win over Southampton on Monday night, but they now face three difficult-looking fixtures before the end of the season. Steve Cooper’s side probably need at least three points to secure their Premier League status and will no doubt target an away fixture against a Chelsea side that has failed to win their last six games at Stamford Bridge in all competitions.

Forest’s big problem is their defensive record, especially on the road. Cooper’s side have conceded in each of their last 14 games, conceding 16 goals in eight games since the international break. They have also failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 10 away games in all competitions, conceding 23 goals in the process.

There is almost no chance that they keep a clean sheet on Saturday, even against a Chelsea side that has been blunt up front. At the other end, the away side have improved considerably in recent weeks, scoring 10 goals in their last four league games, representing a third of all league goals this season.

They should be able to cause plenty of trouble for a Chelsea side without a clean sheet of their own in seven games.

Over 3.5 cards

Chelsea and Forest boast among the worst disciplinary records in the Premier League. The visitors have picked up more yellow cards than any other team, receiving 77 bookings in 35 games. The hosts, meanwhile, have picked up 70 bookings in 34 games but find themselves below Forest in the disciplinary table by virtue of receiving three red cards over the course of the season.

With Forest needing a result to ensure their safety and the Blues needing something to appease their fans, there is a strong chance that there will be several cards brandished on Saturday afternoon.

Manchester United vs Wolves

Marcus Rashford to Score Anytime

Manchester United’s downturn in form corresponds almost directly with Marcus Rashford’s goals drying up. The English forward has only scored twice in all competitions since the international break, in which time United have lost three league games and seen the chasing pack close the gap to one point in the race for Champions League football.

However, he remains United’s biggest goal threat and can inflict damage against a Wolves side without a win on the road since the beginning of February. Rashford, who scored the only goal in United’s 1-0 win at Molineux earlier in the season, is by far the most likely player to score on Saturday.

Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth

Wilfried Zaha To Have 2 or More Shots on Target

Crystal Palace has improved in pretty much every metric since Roy Hodgson took over from Patrick Vieira, which is perhaps to be expected given their respective fixture lists. Hodgson’s Palace are far more shot-happy and will likely pepper the Bournemouth goal with shots on Saturday.

Both sides have assured their Premier League status, so Saturday’s clash will either be an end-to-end thriller or a 0-0 snooze fest that nobody will remember by Saturday evening. Given the Eagle’s recent results, the goal-heavy thriller is the more likely outcome. Wilfried Zaha, who averages the most shots per game for Palace this season at 2.5 per 90 minutes, is good value to land two or more shots on target on Saturday.

Aston Villa vs Tottenham

Over 9.5 Corners

Aston Villa’s European hopes suffered a massive blow thanks to their 1-0 defeat to Wolves last week, but they can give themselves one last chance by beating Tottenham at Villa Park this weekend. Spurs similarly need a win on Saturday if they are to finish in the top six, meaning both sides should have a go.

There is a good chance that both sides will force the issue on Saturday and, by extension, there is a strong possibility that there will be 10 corners or more. Spurs have the seventh-highest number of corners per game this season, averaging 5.2 corners per 90 minutes, while Villa concede the fifth-highest number of corners at 5.5 per game.

Unai Emery’s side win a comparatively low 4.1 corners per game but should slightly improve that average with the benefit of home advantage.
