Sunday night’s footballing action finds us prowling for value in La Liga where Barcelona can win their first league title since 2018/19 at local rivals Espanyol. In Italy, Juventus welcome all-but-relegated Cremonese to Turin but kicking us off, Marseille can overtake second-placed Lens when they take on already-relegated Angers.

Marseille v Angers

TV: BT Sport 2, 7:45pm

Over 9.5 Corners

Marseille’s home Ligue Un games this season average 10.06 corners, with Angers’ games seeing 9.94 on average. The hosts have one of the highest corner averages in the league with 6.47 per home match as well. They’ll be eager to get the win here. A third-placed finish would mean the qualification round for the Champions League, and everybody tries to avoid that. So, we’re expecting them to go for it here and try to overtake Lens. As such, they’ll be laying siege to the Angers’ goal, and we’re going to see loads of chances, meaning plenty of corners should be on the menu.

Angers To Receive The Most Cards

While both sides are pretty much neck and neck in the disciplinary table, Angers have picked up more cards than their opponents in three of their last five away games, and Marseille have picked up fewer than their opponents in three of their last five at home. The hosts are going to have far, far more of the ball here, and they’ll certainly draw more fouls, so we should be seeing the away side getting more cards.

Juventus v Cremonese

TV: BT Sport 1, 7:45pm

Juventus -1

Juve rescued a dramatic 1-1 draw with Seville on Thursday night thanks to a 97th-minute equaliser. While second in the league, their Champions League place is far from secure, so they’ll be looking to add three points towards that target here against a side who are unlikely to be playing Serie A football for much longer.

The Old Lady has won five of their last six at home in the league, scoring 12 while conceding six. The away side has won just one of their last five on the road, drawing two and losing two. Juve’s home form is too hard to argue with, and they should be winning this by at least two goals.

Adrien Rabiot To Have 1 or More Shots on Target

In a recent documentary, Marco Tardelli was congratulating Liam Brady on being a former Juventus top scorer. He scored eight goals. Those were the heydays of Catenaccio football under Giovanni Trapattoni. Under Max Allegri, Adrien Rabiot had been leading the goalscorer chart until just a few games ago with eight goals. Now striker Dusan Vlahovic is ahead on 10.

Rabiot has been pretty impressive this season. Unwanted in Torino, he’s knuckled down and been one of the few positives in an underwhelming season. Averaging 1.3 shots per game, it’s not hard to see him getting one on target against the second-worst team in the league.

Espanyol v Barcelona

TV: ITV4, 8pm

Both Teams To Score

Barcelona will surely land their 27th La Liga title against Espanyol on Sunday night. But their local rivals are going to do all they can to put at least a temporary halt on proceedings. The hosts have scored in all but two of their last 10 home league fixtures and have scored against Barca in four of their last five meetings at the Cornella-El Prat. Of course, Barcelona will score, so we’re getting some decent odds here for both teams to get on the scoresheet.

Barcelona To Win

The away side have failed to win here in three of their last five visits, but clinching a league title at their closest rivals will surely be enough encouragement for Xavi’s side here. They’ve won seven of their last 10 fixtures, and in facing a side who have lost eight of their last 10, they should be taking the three points.
