This is going to be juicy isn’t it? And no disrespect to the other semifinal but this is a proper game. Real Madrid, who have won the competition 14 times, going up against Manchester City who haven’t won it yet, this is their Holy Grail in football. It doesn’t get much bigger.

But, it’s a funny one because Real have lost two of their last four games. They lost 2-0 to Read Sociedad away from home and 4-2 to Girona as well, which is astonishing. So that’s obviously not great form for them but they did win the Copa del Rey at the weekend, beating Osasuna 2-1.

What can we see about Manchester City? They’re flying, they’re still winning. Yes, it got a bit nervy at the end of the 2-1 win over Leeds at the weekend but they’re unbeaten in 20 games in all competitions, winning 17 of them.

Get this: they’ve scored three or more goals in 19 of their 33 Premier League games this season, so you know they will score.

I think Real will just pip them on the night however.
