22- ACCA CRACKER - NEW CAP 1024

Going into the final Championship matchday, we know that both Burnley and Sheffield United have secured Premier League promotion, and Wigan, Blackpool, and Reading have been relegated. Of the four Playoff spots, however, two are still up for grabs, and any of five teams can take those final two places.

We’ve looked at all of the fixtures involving those teams and come up with a value-busting four-fold acca for Monday afternoon. Let’s get into it.

Millwall v Blackburn – Millwall to Win

A draw might not be enough for Millwall here as Sunderland and West Brom are also on 66 points with +10 and +7 goals respectively. Millwall are on +8 but on 68 points. Blackburn, also on 66 points, are on -3 goals, so they’d need to win here by at least 11 goals to draw level with the Lions, and that just isn’t happening.

The visitors have won just one of their last 10 league encounters, while the hosts have won two, drawn one, and lost two of their last five at home. Of course, Blackburn will be trying to spoil the party here, but with home advantage, the Lions should be picking up the three points.

Preston v Sunderland – Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals

Preston have nothing to play for other than they can pour some cold water on Sunderland’s Playoff hopes. The Black Cats need to win here by at least two goals to draw level with Coventry, who are playing Middlesbrough, and you’d have to doubt that ‘Boro will want to do Tony Mowbray’s side a favour.

Regardless, the away side have to win and have won three and drawn two over their last five fixtures. While on the road, they’ve won three, drawn one, and lost one. The hosts have been on the beach for a while, winning none of their last four games, drawing one, and losing three, while at home, they’ve been pretty strong, winning three and drawing two. This one shouldn’t be ending all square. Both sides should be scoring here with at least one more goals being scored too.

Swansea v West Brom – Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals

West Brom can snatch a Playoff place with a win here but will need things to go badly for both Millwall and Sunderland and that’s certainly not beyond the realms of possibility. But in facing Swansea, they’re taking on one of the form teams in the Championship. The Swans are unbeaten over their last eight games, while at home, they’ve won three, drawn one, and lost one over their last five, scoring eight and conceding five.

The Baggies have won three and lost two of their last five Championship clashes and on their recent travels, have won two, drawn one, and lost two, scoring six and conceding seven. With both teams scoring plenty, we’re getting good value here in a Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals combined bet.

Middlesbrough v Coventry – Draw

In fourth position, Middlesbrough have secured their playoff place. Coventry are just one point behind, and no matter what happens below them in the above-mentioned games, the Sky Blues need just a point to make it into the Playoffs. ‘Boro aren’t going to want to face Coventry again, however, as they’ve lost to them twice over their last three games against them.

The hosts have a good home record of eight wins over their last 10 at the Riverside in the league, but the visitors have lost just two of their last 10 on the road. Michael Carrick will surely play a rotated side here with their impending Playoff first leg coming up and with Coventry just needing a point, it’s hard not to see this one ending level.
