Tottenham v Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace to have 6 or More Shots on Target

Crystal Palace are a team transformed under Roy Hodgson. From becoming the first team in Premier League history to go three consecutive games without a shot on target to scoring 13 goals in six games since Hodgson’s appointment, Palace now look capable of causing problems against every team they come up against.

Hodgson’s side have registered 31 shots on target in six games at a rate of just over five shots on target per game, but they have every chance of bettering that average against a Spurs side that seems to actively help the opposition score goals against them.

Spurs have faced 36 shots in their six games since the international break at a rate of six per game and seem incapable of defending like a competent team. Palace should cause them plenty of problems here.

Bournemouth vs Chelsea

Over 3.5 Cards

Chelsea are looking to avoid their seventh consecutive defeat under Frank Lampard when they travel to Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon, knowing that a loss will see them fall below the Cherries in the Premier League table.

On form, Bournemouth are a much better team than Chelsea, but this remains a tough game to call. The disciplinary markets, however, are a bit more straightforward. Chelsea are one of the worst-disciplined teams in the league, picking up 66 yellow cards and three red cards in their 33 games to date, while Bournemouth have picked up 61 yellow cards in their 34 league games.

Chelsea have picked up 14 yellow cards in their last six league outings, while Bournemouth have picked up 12 in the same number of games. There is every chance that we will see four cards or more on Saturday afternoon.

Wolves vs Aston Villa

Ollie Watkins to Score Anytime

There is a very good chance that Wolves have taken their foot off the pedal now that their Premier League safety is all but secured. Their 6-0 defeat at Brighton last week certainly indicated as much.

Villa, meanwhile, remain in the hunt for European football, although their Champions League hopes are dead in the water after last Sunday’s defeat at Manchester United.

Ollie Watkins failed to score in that 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford, making it three games without a goal for the English striker. Watkins had been one of the most in-form players in the league, scoring 11 goals in 12 games before this recent mini-drought. However, he remains one of the most dangerous forwards in the league and should cause Wolves plenty of problems.

Man City defender John Stones tackles Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard

Manchester City vs Leeds

John Stones to Attempt 90 passes or More

Manchester City were always going to dominate possession in this game, but the appointment of Sam Allardyce as Leeds manager has probably just added an extra 5-10% to their final possession total. City average 65% possession in the Premier League this season, by far the highest in the division, and will likely enjoy more than three-quarters of the ball when Leeds come to town.

Deployed in his new hybrid role, John Stones will likely see a lot of the ball on Saturday afternoon. Stones completes an average of 67 passes per game and attempts more than 70 passes per game. Playing in a home game against a team managed by an anti-possession manager, he is likely to considerably better his average on Big Sam’s return to the Premier League.

Marc Roca to Commit 2 or More Fouls

With City pretty much guaranteed to dominate the ball, defensive midfielder Marc Roca is likely to have his work cut out for him at the Etihad. The Spanish midfielder has received more yellow cards than any other Leeds player, collecting seven bookings in 30 appearances this season.

His average of 1.3 fouls per game is also the second-highest of any Leeds player after Tyler Adams on 1.5 fouls per game. Roca will be coming up against some of the silkiest players in the league here and it would not be surprising in the slightest if he was drawn into at least two fouls.
