Wednesday, 8pm: Liverpool v Fulham

As Liverpool continue in their pursuit to hunt down and secure themselves a European place for the season ahead they welcome 10th placed Fulham to Anfield on Wednesday night. The Cottagers will still be missing their main man Aleksandr Mitrovic due to his suspension, as the Londerers look to find some goals generated from elsewhere.

Liverpool to Win

They pulled it off in a dramatic fashion on Sunday against Tottenham and we’re expecting Liverpool to nab themselves another three points from this encounter. If Liverpool are to make a final push for the top four, or even just want to lock down a Europa League position with Aston Villa and Tottenham hot on their heels, they need to capitalise on that game, and we see them coming away from this one with a comfortable victory.

Fulham have been quite possibly the most fitting 10th placed side in the Premier League, possibly ever. They’ve got a goal difference of exactly 0, and are one win away from perfect balance between wins and losses, right in the middle of the road. They’ve also only failed to score in just three of their last 14 matches in total which is a pretty solid statistic for Marco Silva’s side. Liverpool’s defensive woes are common knowledge so we’re expecting Both Teams to Score to land here.

Manor Solomon to Have 1 or More Shots On Target

Fulham will have to look elsewhere for their production in front of goal with hitman Mitrovic absent. We think that Israeli attacker Manor Soloman is the man for the job. Despite his limited number of Premier League appearances this season, he’s managed to find the net on four occasions, which is not bad at all considering he’s only had five shots on target this season in total.

Luis Diaz to Score or Assist

Luis Diaz, who had his first game back after a lengthy spell on the sideline with a knee injury made his much anticipated comeback on Sunday against Tottenham. He’s only appeared in 12 Premier League games this season so far, but has four goals and two assists to his name. 

Involvement in a goal every other game is nothing to turn your nose up at, as he looked more than capable at the weekend. He’s going to be fired up again and we see him either scoring or creating against a Fulham side who tend to leak a few goals on their travels.

Joao Palhinha to be Shown a Card

Joao Palhinha has had an excellent debut season in the Premier League with Fulham. He’s been a linchpin for them in their midfield, and was absolutely a piece that they were sorely missing over the last number of seasons. However, he is well capable of working his way into the referee’s book. Palhinha has managed to get himself twelve yellow cards since arriving at Craven Cottage, in just 30 Premier League Appearances. A valuable addition to any bet builder for this game seeing as Liverpool will look to keep Fulham on the back foot for ninety minutes.
