Saturday, 8pm: Barcelona v Betis
La Liga
TV: Premier Sports 1
With seven games to go, including this one, Barcelona are 11 points ahead of Real Madrid in second place. So, the Catalans just need to keep the ship steady and they’ll lift their first title since 2018-19. Betis always put in a good showing as the away side at the Nou Camp and indeed took the three points in a 0-1 victory last season. We’ve dug deep into the stats and found a very tasty-looking five-leg Bet Builder.
Both Teams to Score
We’re getting some value here with the current odds and that’s really because Barcelona have had a very impressive run of clean sheets at home in the league. Indeed, of their last 10 home La Liga games they’ve kept eight. However, Betis have scored nine goals over their last five on their league travels and have scored a total of nine over their last five trips to the Nou Camp. With those stats we’re expecting the visitors to score here and Barcelona will certainly get at least a couple.
Sergio Busquets to Commit 2 or More Fouls
As far as this writer can remember, this is going to be the first season in at least 10 that Sergio Busquets won’t end up being Barcelona’s most booked player for the season. Then again, is it surprising when you have Gavi in the same team? What a player he’s going to be but he must’ve been taught how to tackle by Paul Scholes. He’s just terrible at it.
We could back Gavi in the same market but the odds for Busquets are more appealing. Barca’s old workhorse of an enforcer commits more than a foul per game and against a Betis side who will be countering here we can see him committing a few tactical fouls.

Robert Lewandowski to have 1 or More Shots on target in Each Half
Robert Lewandowski has scored 18 La Liga goals over 27 appearances with a total of 46 shots on target meaning an average of 1.7 shots on target per game. The Catalans have been coming out of the traps quickly at home of late, scoring a first half goal in four of their last five home La Liga outings and we reckon we’ll see the same here. With Poland’s captain leading the line once more we reckon he’ll have at least one shot on target per half here.
Borja Iglesias to have 1 or More Shots on Target
Lewandowski’s counterpart at the other end of the park, Borja Iglesias has had a fine season with 12 goals and three assists over his 29 appearances for Los Verdiblancos. He averages just shy of two shots per league clash. Betis will have scoring opportunities here, they always put in a good shift away to Barca and with him also leading the line he should be good for one shot on target.
Barcelona to Win
To sweeten up our Bet Builder we’re going to add the Barcelona victory here. They’ve won 12 of their last 15 at home in the league and have won this fixture in nine of their last 10 meetings at the Nou Camp and while Betis should score and will put up a fight, there’s just too much quality in this Barca side so they should really be winning this by at least a goal or two.
