Man City v Arsenal

Wednesday, 8pm, Live on BT Sport 1

Arsenal are unbeaten in the league since they lost to City in February but they’re now making the odd error whereas before they’d go and blow teams away.

It feels like they’re worried about giving away goals now which they weren’t before.

It’s only been a slight downturn but it’s enough to mean they’re dropping points.

Gabriel and William Saliba at the back have been some unsung heroes at the back for them this season at times. The attacking players get the plaudits, but those two have been magnificent and being without that partnership has been difficult to cope with.

They also showed tremendous character to come back against Southampton on Friday night – I mean, they were 3-1 down with ten minutes left!

Any team can concede goals, it’s how you react that matters.

The league’s not dead and buried by any means yet and they’ve still got the capability to go to the Etihad and win.

The way City are playing at the moment though, it’s hard to see it happening.

You saw them on Saturday, Sheffield United made it difficult for them early on but I love watching Riyad Mahrez play and he made the difference.

If City win on Wednesday it would feel like the league is sewn up, where if Arsenal can beat them it’ll still be on.

Whatever the result, I think there’ll be a few goals in this so would expect both teams to get on the scoresheet with so much on the line.

With so much attacking talent for City you could see anyone netting for them, but Kevin De Bruyne is always pulling the strings and can get goals too  so you’d expect him to create at least one goal for someone if he doesn’t get one himself.

Even though the stakes are high, I don’t expect this to be an especially nasty game, but since Fernandinho’s gone Rodri’s become the defensive midfielder who does the dirty work in City’s midfield and I can see him having to make a few well-timed fouls.

West Ham v Liverpool

Wednesday, 7:45pm, Live on BT Sport 2

Liverpool are playing some good stuff now but it’s too late now unfortunately for top 4. Newcastle and Man United look set there.

They’re still playing to finish as high as they can and end a tough season on a high though.

West Ham will make it difficult for them on Wednesday. You saw the result they got against Arsenal, and they got a great result away at Bournemouth on the weekend.

It’s always a difficult place to go, but I think Liverpool are playing well enough to get a win there still.

Mo Salah is just a goal machine, and it’s great to have Luis Diaz back as well, but Diogo Jota’s found a bit of form since returning and should pose a threat to West Ham’s defence.
