Sunday 2pm: Newcastle v Tottenham
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
The Draw
It’s a clash for Champions League qualification in the 2pm kick-off on Sunday. Fifth place Tottenham take on fourth placed Newcastle, with just three points separating the sides on the Premier League table.
Tottenham will be looking to get back to winning ways winning just two of their last five games. Newcastle will be hoping to bounce back after a shock 3-0 upset against Aston Villa last weekend.
Both sides are in need of points as the season draws to a close – Newcastle currently sit three points ahead of Spurs, with a game in hand to boot. If Tottenham are to have any chance at qualifying for the Champions League, they’re going to need a win here.
We aren’t getting our hopes up about Tottenham being able to pull it off though, but they could in fact escape with a point from this match. These two sides have drawn twice in their last five meetings so we’ll kick off with The Draw here.
Joelinton to Be Shown a Card
Joelinton has appeared in 26 total games this season, and found his way into the referee’s notebook eleven times! His transition from his previous role as a forward and into a midfielder clearly didn’t come with an instruction manual for tackling.
In the last six meetings between these two sides there’s been 33 yellow cards given out and one red. That’s an average of five bookings per game. With Joelinton’s innate ability to get himself booked we’ve got to add him To Be Carded in here.

Pierre Emile Hojbjerg to Be Shown a Card
Pierre Emile Hojbjerg has only managed to get himself booked on four occasions this season. However, coming up against this highly talented Newcastle side he’ll find himself dealing with relentless pressure through the middle, especially if Eddie Howe decides to deploy Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson in a tandem as many reports suggest.
Hojbjerg missed out on the first clash between these two sides due to injury. It’s not often that we opt for two yellow card markets – but there’s a lot of opportunity in this game to see yellow cards fly out in all directions so Hojbjerg to Be Shown a Card makes the cut.
Callum Wilson to Have 1 or More Shots on Target
Callum Wilson has had himself a great year, capped off by his call up the England squad in recent months. He looks destined to play in the Champions League next season.
He’s got himself ten goals and four assists in the Premier League alone this year. More impressively again is the fact that he’s finding the target on 43.8% of all shots, and averages 1.36 shots on target per 90. Callum Wilson to Have 1 or More Shots on Target is a great addition to a Bet Builder if you’re looking to increase the odds.
