Bournemouth to Win
West Ham head to the south coast at 2pm on Sunday to take on Bournemouth with both of these two edging closer to Premier League safety. The Hammers are four points clear of the drop with a game in hand over Nottingham Forest in 18th while The Cherries are one spot higher in 14th with a six-point cushion.
This is a coin-toss match up with both, obviously, similarly placed in the table, in similar form, and with pretty poor respective home and away records. The prices on offer show that but the away side are Paddy’s slight favourites. However, I’m leaning towards the hosts.
Bournemouth have pulled off some mighty results of late, including consecutive wins on the road leading into this game. At home they’ve been decent recently with only the excellent Brighton and Manchester City beating them at Dean Court over their last six matches.
Fulham and Liverpool have both been beaten while Newcastle were held to a Draw and Forest pinched a point with a late equaliser towards the end of January. West Ham beat Fulham the last time they played away from the London Stadium in the league but they’ve taken five points from the last 27 available on their travels. Bournemouth to Win kicks us off.
Over 2.5 Goals
This could be quite an entertaining match with both sides involved in high-scoring affairs in recent times. West Ham roared back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Arsenal last time out while Bournemouth felled The Gunners’ north London rivals Tottenham 3-2 with a 95th-minute winner.
David Moyes’ boys have scored in each of their last five Premier League matches, conceding in three but shipping eight in those games. The Cherries have bagged in eight of their last 10 including against City, Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool so there’s no doubt both are capable of scoring here.
Both are equally adept at conceding and the hosts have the second-worse defence in the division. Overs has landed in three of their last five and four of their visitors’ last seven. With both enjoying the relative freedom of being in lower-mid table rather than the drop zone I think Over 2.5 Goals could be a handy bet.

Ryan Christie to Commit 2 or More Fouls
While Adam Smith leads the charge for The Cherries in terms of bookings accrued this season, Ryan Christie is the man regularly committing the most fouls. He’s averaging exactly two per every 90 minutes played in the league this season.
He’s been an ever-present of late, though he is often subbed off so we might need him to get stuck in early doors if our Christie to Commit 2 or More Fouls punt is to land. However, he’s in fine fouling form and managed to squeeze 4 into a 66 minute appearance against Spurs last time out and has committed eight in his last four appearances in which he’s played an average of just under 65 minutes per game.
Declan Rice To Attempt 70 Or More Passes
West Ham’s star man Declan Rice will be the most accomplished passer on display by a country mile on Sunday afternoon. He’s completing, on average, 50.3 accurate passes per 90 minutes played per game in the Premier League this term.
That’s 12 more than the nearest Hammer, Aaron Cresswell, and around 15 more than Bournemouth’s highest average, Lloyd Kelly. Given that West Ham have been struggling all season he can expect to have much more of the ball here than against most other sides they’ll face in the top flight. As he’s averaging over 50 completed and will definitely play the full 90, I don’t think it’s too much of a stretch to hope for Rice To Attempt 70 Or More Passes.
