You have to go for a big Manchester City win. Sheffield United will have a go, there’s no doubt about that, it’s just the way they are, but they’ve got bigger fish to fry in the Championship.
It might well be that Sheffield United don’t play that much of an experienced team. The loss of the two lads on loan from City, Tommy Doyle and James McAtee, who are cup tied, that will be huge for them.
They’ll be competitive but on those big, open spaces at Wembley the last team you want to play is City who can just keep the ball for about 10 minutes and draw you all over the place so I’ll go for a big City win, 3-0, whatever team they put out.
I do think the treble might be on for City. It’s just whether they can cope with all the games. That home and away v Real Madrid is a biggie and Arsenal at home, too. It must be some run of fixtures coming up but they’ve just got the players and I think I’m right in thinking with Phil Foden back they’re all fit now.
A lot is to do with timing. Sometimes you get to the end of the season and you’re missing three or four but they’re all fit and raring to go and Pep Guardiola’s got an embarrassment of riches so I think it’s very much a possibility.

And Smith must score! Manchester United play on Thursday night, they’ve got one or two injury problems and Brighton lie in wait in the FA Cup semi finals. Brighton will enjoy playing on that Wembley surface and, you know what, I’m going to go for Brighton to just about win this.
They won’t change the way they play, they are getting up there with Manchester City in the way that the keep the ball, Brighton. Not only do they keep it, which is quite difficult to do, but they actually make loads and loads of chances.
I think it will be tight but I’ll go for a 1-0 win for Brighton. There’s obviously some bias there because I was there for four years and it was fab but I would love them to get back to the final.
Would it mean more to Brighton than Manchester United? The thing with Erik ten Hag is that he’s driven, isn’t he? He’ll probably be thinking, ‘yes we may get beat,’ but I think that will just make him doubly determined.
He’s not frightened to make decisions but they’re just struggling with injuries to one or two players and they are their better players. But it would be great for Brighton and for owner Tony Bloom who’s just done brilliantly with that club.
