Inter Milan vs Monza

TV: BT Sport ESPN, 7:45pm

Inter -1

Inter Milan find themselves in the strange position of being on the cusp of a Champions League semi-final while failing to win a domestic game in over a month.

The hosts took a giant step towards the last four in Europe with a 2-0 win at Benfica on Tuesday night, but they have failed to win any of their last five games in Serie A and the Coppa Italia in a run stretching back to early March.

They have collected just one point from their last four league games and currently find themselves outside the Champions League places. They have a chance to put that record straight against a Monza side that has also failed to win any of their last four league games.

Buoyed by their excellent win in Portugal on Tuesday night, there is nothing to say that they will not claim a vital win in the race for the top four and do so with some comfort.

Romelu Lukaku to Score Anytime

Romelu Lukaku has been pivotal to Inter’s success in the Champions League this season, scoring in their 2-0 win over Benfica and scoring the only goal in their 1-0 aggregate win over Porto in the round-of-16.

He also scored a vital last-minute penalty to draw Inter level in the first leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final against Juventus last week and has scored six goals in his last ten games for club and country.

Lukaku is slowly putting a dreadful season at Chelsea behind him and he can continue his recent form against a Monza side that has not kept a clean sheet in seven games.

Cadiz v Real Madrid

TV: LaLigaTV, 8pm

Under 2.5 Goals

Cadiz’s form is exactly what you’d expect for a side 14th in the table. Sergio Gonzalez’s side have won two, lost two, and drawn three of their last seven league games and currently find themselves four points above the relegation zone. Only two of their 14 league games since the World Cup have seen three goals or more and Saturday’s game is unlikely to be any different, even if it is against Real Madrid.

Cadiz’s record of 23 goals scored in 28 games is the second worst in Spain’s top flight and they may struggle to break Real Madrid down, just as they did against Madrid’s title rivals Barcelona at the Nou Camp in March.

Cadiz, however, held Real Madrid to two goals in the reverse fixture before the World Cup and have not conceded more than two goals in a home league game since September. Saturday’s game is unlikely to be a high-scoring encounter.

Karim Benzema Score Anytime

Real’s Peter Pan is having yet another outstanding season with Los Blancos, scoring 14 La Liga goals over just 18 appearances, as well as six in domestic cup competition and four goals over seven Champions League outings.

The Frenchman has only faced Cadiz three times over his career in Spain, scoring two goals and with Vinicius Jr. watching from the sidelines it’s going to be on Benzema to lead the attacks here. We reckon he’ll be good for one here.

Karim Benzema, Real Madrid, January 2023

PSG vs Lens

Both Teams to Score

Undoubtedly the pick of the bunch on Saturday night, PSG’s top-of-the-table clash with Lens will either see the Parisians build an unassailable lead at the top of the table or make the French title race incredibly interesting.

PSG have been abject since the World Cup, losing four of their 14 league games since December and limping over the line in many of the games they managed to win. They have lost their last two home games in the league and face a Lens side that deservedly beat them 3-1 in the reverse fixture in January.

PSG have managed just two clean sheets in their last 11 league games and have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last six home league outings, so it stands to reason that they will concede against an in-form Lens side.

Lens, on the other hand, boast the best defensive record in Ligue 1 but it still seems likely that a PSG side with the best attacking record in the division will find a way to score.
