Chelsea v Brighton

Brighton to Have 5 or More Shots on Target

It is sign of just how bad Chelsea have been that they are not favourites to win a home meeting with Brighton, but it is also a mark of just how impressive Brighton are. Roberto De Zerbi’s side have ben magnificent this season and were desperately unlucky not to come away with something at Tottenham last week and really give their Champions League push a shot in the arm.

Chelsea, who are without a win in their last five league games, will have their work cut out to get anything. Brighton are likely to test Kepa in the Chelsea goal on several occasions.

De Zerbi’s side have registered an impressive 42 shots on target in their last six league games at a rate of seven per game, while they rank fourth in the league this season in terms of shots per game, averaging 15.3 efforts per 90 minutes. It wouldn’t be at all surprising to see them maintain those averages with Brighton Having 5 or More Shots on Target.

Everton v Fulham

Over 10.5 Corners

Only games involving Bournemouth and Newcastle have seen more corners than Everton games this season. The Toffees win an average of 4.4 corners per game and concede an average of 5.9 for a combined total of 10.3.

With Sean Dyche at the helm, they have become even more set piece-oriented and it wouldn’t be surprising to see a flurry of corner kicks on Saturday afternoon when Fulham come to town. This is a huge game for Everton at the bottom of the table following a run of three games without a win.

They are likely to pile the pressure on an out-of-form opponent and, by extension, are likely to significantly better their average of 4.4 corners per game. At the other end, Fulham have won 26 corners in their last six league games and are likely to win some of their own against a shaky Everton defence. It’s Over 10.5 Corners here.

Southampton v Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace To Receive The Most Cards

Crystal Palace are a nice price to receive the most cards considering they rank among the worst teams in the league in terms of discipline. Palace are third bottom in the Premier League’s disciplinary table, receiving 63 yellow cards and three red cards in 30 games this season.

Southampton, on the other hand, rank eighth in the league’s disciplinary table, receiving 54 yellow cards and no red cards in the same number of games. Considering Southampton are at home and likely to put Palace under pressure in what is a must-win game for the Saints, it stands to reason that Palace will be in a position to pick up more cards.

Both Teams To Score

Palace look reborn going forward under Roy Hodgson. Not only did they put five past Leeds on Sunday, but they also battered Leicester for 90 minutes the weekend previous, registering 31 shots on goal, with nine of them finding the target. Not bad for a team that had only recently set a Premier League record by going three games without registering a shot on target.

Palace are a clear threat going forward and should score against a Southampton defence that has shipped 51 goals in the league this season, but they still remain suspect at the back. They have not kept an away clean sheet in 2023 and have conceded in each of their last six league games, despite dominating for 90 minutes against Leicester.

Southampton need to score on Saturday and will put Palace under serious pressure. They have scored in four of their last five league outings at St. Mary’s and it wouldn’t be surprising to see them make it five out of six and for Both Teams to Score.

Tottenham v Bournemouth

Harry Kane to Score Anytime

Harry Kane again stepped up for Tottenham last week, firing in a deflected winner to claim an undeserved win over Brighton. The England forward is the only reason why Tottenham have any chance of qualifying for next season’s Champions League, scoring 23 goals in 30 league appearances, including five in his last four games.

Kane has scored seven goals in nine appearances against Bournemouth and is a good shout to Score Anytime. Tottenham need Kane firing on all cylinders if they are to claim a top four spot and there is no sign of him slowing down any time soon.
