We’ve put together a Both Teams to Score acca to hopefully cap off Easter weekend – and it’s focused on Monday’s Championship games at 3pm.
First up is Cardiff v Sunderland as 19th host 11th. BTTS has landed in three of Cardiff’s last four Championship games and they come into this on the back of their 3-1 win at Blackpool on Saturday.
They’ll fancy their chances of getting on the scoresheet at home considering they’ve done so in their last five games at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Sunderland, meanwhile, drew 4-4 at home against Hull on Saturday so they’re in the goalscoring mood. They’ve netted 29 times in their 20 road games in the Championship and we’re expecting that trend to continue.
Next up is Birmingham v Stoke as 16th host 14th in a relatively meaningless game considering both sides look safe from relegation.
Birmingham had won three of their four outings prior to their 1-1 draw at Reading on Saturday and they’ve scored in four of their last five Championship matches.
BTTS has landed in three of Stoke’s last four away games and they won their last match on the road 4-0 against Coventry. Backing BTTS makes plenty of sense.
We’re now heading up to Wigan as bottom of the league host Swansea in 15th.
While backing Wigan to score might seem a bit odd considering their league position, the stats make sense. They’ve scored in four of their last five home games and they’re also fighting for their lives to stay in the Championship.
As for Swansea, three of their last five games have seen BTTS land and their matches average 2.8 goals this season.
Finally, we’re focused on Hull v Millwall. The away side are 5th in the league and focused on making the playoffs, while Hull are 17th and have little to play for.
Hull come into this having scored four times in their draw at Sunderland on Saturday and they’ve scored nine times in their last six outings.
Millwall, meanwhile, know they need to win to maintain their playoff position so fancying them to score is an obvious pick. They’ve scored in three of their last four away Championship matches so hopefully that continues!
