The Draw

It’s difficult to know what type of Tottenham team will turn up on Monday night.

It has been a turbulent two weeks for Spurs to say the least, what with the prolonged sacking of Antonio Conte and the controversy surrounding director of football Fabio Paratici.

Spurs could do with a win at Goodison Park on Monday night to give them some momentum in the race for the top four, but they failed to win in their last five away games under Conte and will need to drastically improve their away form.

Spurs managed just five league wins in 14 away games this season under Conte, picking up just 19 points out of a potential 42.

Everton, on the other hand, have taken the majority of their points this season at home, collecting 17 of their 26 league points at Goodison Park.

The arrival of Sean Dyche as manager surely places even more emphasis on home form, with Everton winning three home games out of four since Dyche took over.

Another win on Monday would give their survival bid a huge boost in the arm, but they may be thwarted by the cliched new manager bounce.

Harry Kane to Score Anytime

Tottenham would probably be in the relegation battle with Everton if Harry Kane wasn’t at the club.

Despite all of Tottenham’s struggles this season, Kane is enjoying a phenomenal campaign.

The England forward has scored 21 league goals this season, equal to more than 40% of Tottenham’s total goals in the Premier League.

Kane would probably be on his way to another golden boot if it wasn’t for the ridiculous form of Erling Haaland, but he is still on track to finish with 30 goals in the league.

He scored in Tottenham’s 2-0 win over Everton earlier in the season and can repeat the trick on Monday night.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to Attempt 70 or More Passes

Pierre-Emily Hojbjerg is a lynchpin in the Spurs midfield and will likely see a lot of the ball on Monday night.

Hojbjerg averages roughly 67 passes per game in the league this season and is good value to breach 70 against an Everton side that ranks among the lowest in the league in terms of possession.

Everton boast the sixth-lowest average possession stats in the league, averaging just 43.5% per game.

In the eight games since Dyche took over, they have recorded 33% possession or less on four separate occasions and have failed to record more than 50% possession in any game.

Even Nottingham Forest, who ranked second last in the league in terms of possession stats, enjoyed 58% of the ball when Everton travelled to the City Ground last month.

Tottenham will enjoy the lion’s share of possession on Monday night and Hojbjerg should see a lot of the ball.

Demarai Gray to Have One or More Shots on Target

Demarai Gray has arguably been Everton’s most important player this season and is currently their top scorer with four goals in the league.

The fact that four goals is enough to be Everton’s top scorer speaks volumes about the club’s struggles this season, but Gray has undeniably been good in patches.

He averages 1.8 shots per game in the league this season and is good value to register just one shot on target, especially considering Tottenham have faced 13.6 shots per game this season and rank amongst the worst teams in the league in terms of shots faced.
