Sheffield Wednesday -1
Sheffield Wednesday lost their spot at the top of League One this week after their 4-2 defeat at Barnsley on Tuesday night. However, they’re just two points behind Plymouth and Darren Moore’s men also boast two games in hand.
They were held to a draw against Bolton before the Barnsley defeat but they’d won six of their last seven league games prior to that.
Wednesday know they need to bounce back if they are to secure automatic promotion to the Championship and they’ve got the perfect opportunity against Duncan Ferguson’s Forest Green Rovers.
The home side are bottom of the league having won five of their 37 games this season. They’ve lost four of their last five and they conceded 12 times in that period.
Sheffield Wednesday to Win isn’t worth getting behind at the odds so we’re backing Sheffield Wednesday -1 on the Handicap.
Both Teams to Score: No
We’ve mentioned we’re fully behind Wednesday and we’re classing the Barnsley defeat as a one-off.
Before that loss and Bolton draw, Moore’s side had won three in a row with the scoreline finishing 1-0.
The Owls will be hoping to get back to that form against the worst side in League One. Both Teams to Score: No makes plenty of sense.
We’re on Sheffield Wednesday on the -1 Handicap, meaning we need them to win by two goals, so putting Over 2.5 Goals in our Bet Builder seems a bit of a no brainer.
Their games average 2.7 goals and Moore’s men have netted an impressive 64 goals in their 36 outings this season. Forest Green, meanwhile, have conceded a league-high 71 goals this campaign.
Sheffield Wednesday hammered Forest Green 5-0 at the start of the season and with Moore set to demand a response from his side, don’t be surprised if they come out firing.
Lee Gregory to Score Anytime
Wednesday were without Josh Windass for the Barnsley loss after he was forced off in the Bolton draw. They miss their star man, however, Lee Gregory has stepped up in recent weeks.
He netted a brace in the week to take his season tally to eight goals. He’s had seven shots in his last two games when in the starting XI and he looks a great shout to add to that against FGR.
We’re on Gregory to Score Anytime, however, if he doesn’t start then take Michael Smith to get on the scoresheet instead.
